Chapter 234 Did You Trust Daniel A Lot?
Emma blinked, looking at me somewhat bewildered, and said, “Was I really being too suspicious?”
Looking at her, I said, “Don’t worry for now. My elder brother is not that kind of person. I think it’s just some naive young girls who have taken a liking to him, but he doesn’t have such intentions. He is considering your feelings, that’s why he didn’t tell you about this. You should take good care of yourself, don’t argue with him. If there really is a problem, there are so many elders in the Hinton family, he always has to consider them.”

Seeing me about to leave, William said, “Do you have something urgent to do? If not, why not have breakfast first before you go.”
I shook my head and laughed, “I have an appointment to go somewhere, I’ll come back to see sister-in-law later.” Due to Walter’s presence, it wasn’t appropriate for me to bring up Rachel with William, so I just exchanged a few polite pleasantries with a smile.
Walter looked at me and said, “I’ll take you there.”

car.”

After saying goodbye to William, I left the house, Walter was already waiting outside.
He got in the car and asked, “Where to?”

This question was inexplicably asked. I realized too late, he was waiting for me here, was it to prevent Daniel from meeting me, because it was unsafe?
Taking a slight breath, I said irritably. “I was doing business with him, and it was a public place. Besides, he was from Freyhedge and I was a local from River City. If there was any distrust, he should be the one wary of me.”
He narrowed his dark eyes, looking at me with a somewhat incredulous gaze, and said, “It’s a project worth billions. He could have chosen anyone, why did he specifically choose you?”.
This question really stumped me. If I had been the one to seek out Daniel for a meeting, it would have made sense. But why would he take the initiative to seek me out?
But in a second, I realized and looked at him, saying, “Sebastian and I are also friends, can’t he cooperate with me for the sake of friendship? Walter, not everyone is like you, always putting profit first.”
After speaking, I directly opened the door and got out of the car, without saying another word to him.
