Chapter 233 It Was a Good Thing

Entered the West Residence hall.
There was no one.
Conversely, voices were heard from upstairs, suggesting that everyone was likely upstairs.
Walter and I went upstairs. The door to William and Emma’s master bedroom was open, and the sound of an old lady’s laughter came from inside, sounding very happy.
Reaching the doorway, they saw Emma lying in bed with William standing by, taking care of her. The old lady and William’s mother were sitting by the bed, chatting with Emma. They didn’t know what they were talking about, but everyone was laughing.

Hearing the noise, a few people looked over at us. Seeing this, the old lady waved at us, saying, “You’re here, come over and sit down.”
Walter and I entered the bedroom, the old lady looked at me kindly and smiled, “Did you sleep well last night? I called you so early, did I wake you up?”
Walter and I silently shook hands in understanding.
Walter was the first to speak, looking at the old lady, he said, “Grandma, what has happened?”
The old lady smiled kindly and said. “I originally thought it was bad news, but surprisingly, it turned out to be good news. Your sister-in- law is pregnant.”
At this. Walter was slightly taken aback. He then looked at William, who was calmly looking at him with a smile, saying, “Walter, accompany me to the hospital. Dr. Li just said that your sister-in-law’s pregnancy hormone levels are unstable and she needs some medication. You should come with me.”
Walter nodded, didn’t say much, and left the bedroom with him.
In the bedroom, after a few elders had spoken to Emma for a while, they all left as well.
It was just Emma and me left. She was leaning on the bed, looking at me with a somewhat apologetic expression, “Tabatha, I’m sorry. I didn’t know grandma had someone call you guys over too. I’m sorry for making you worry this early in the morning.”

But this morning, before dawn, another woman called him to go out, and he was actually going to go. So, the old lady didn’t call us over because Emma was pregnant, but because Emma had almost had an accident.
I took a deep breath, looking at Emma, I didn’t know how to comfort her, let alone what to say to her. After a moment of silence, I asked, “Did your older brother explain everything to you after he found out you were pregnant?”
Emma nodded, “He said they were just friends, not what I thought, but Tabatha, would a friend call him early in the morning, asking him to come over?”
