The voice of the waiter came to my ear, “Mr. Monroe, your guest has arrived.”

Are you really planning to collaborate with the Conner Group to secure the development project in the southern district?”
Daniel nodded, a faint smile in his handsome eyes, “Yes, if possible, I hope Ms. Conner can arrange for us to sign the contract as soon as possible. I will also arrange for my company’s staff to liaise with your company to start the project as soon as possible.”
He didn’t even have any extra words, he just brought up the matter of
signing the contract.
I was naturally pleased, but after some thought, I couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Mr. Monroe, may I ask you a question? Why did you choose to cooperate with the Conner Group? I nodded, picked up the meat he had served me, and said thank you with a smile.
He was someone I wasn’t very familiar with to begin with. Now that our business was finished, there wasn’t much else for us to talk about. I kept my head down, eating, while trying hard to think of a topic in my mind, attempting to make the atmosphere less awkward.
