Chapter 8 I Left Something
Gianna felt some resistance. She had already submitted her resignation. She wasn’t responsible for such tasks anymore.
Moreover, although Naomi phrased it as a question, it sounded more like a command, which made her uncomfortable.
But then she thought about her pa*sport still held by Levi. This might be her last chance to deal with trivial matters. She could also ask him for her pa*sport as she delivered the coffee.
Summoning her courage, she reluctantly agreed, “Alright, I understand.”
“Thank you,” Naomi said and left. I
Since becoming pregnant, Naomi had a maternal aura around her. Yet her confidence and radiance contrasted sharply with Gianna.
Under the shelter of her large family in the past, Gianna had been on par with Naomi in many
ways.
Yet in just a few years, she had fallen from grace.
The vast difference left her stunned for a while. Finally, she suppressed her feelings and left the restroom, heading to the pantry to brew coffee.
Leyi liked his coffee with three parts black sugar and one part milk.
The meeting ended, and people started coming from the conference room. Gianna didn’t see Levi, which meant he was probably already in his office.
Carrying the coffee, Gianna knocked on the president’s office door.
“Come in.” But the voice that came from inside wasn’t Levi’s icy voice. It was Naomi’s sweet, gentle voice.
Gianna nearly spilled the coffee from the cup due to the shock.
After struggling for a while, she mustered the courage to push open the door.
The moment the door opened, she saw Naomi hugging Levi’s neck, sitting on his lap.
Although Gianna had been prepared, witnessing this scene still stirred up emotions she couldn’t easily control. Her heart hurt so much that it felt like it might stop beating.
Caught in the act, Naomi seemed slightly embarra*sed.
“Put the coffee here, and you can leave.”
Naomi’s gentle voice snapped Gianna back to reality.
She slowly looked up and, with a certain distance between them, met Levi’s gaze that was fixated on her without blinking.
The coldness in his eyes seemed capable of devouring her whole.
At that moment, her intuition told her he had done this deliberately.
He knew why she was here and still allowed her to witness this embarra*sing scene!
“Ms. Lewis?” Naomi’s gaze turned towards her when she remained motionless.
Gianna responded with a nod and set the coffee on the table. Then, almost fleeing, she turned to leave. However, after taking just two steps, she stopped abruptly.
She could hear the luring sounds behind her. Her mind was filled with images of Levi and Naomi
being intimate.
Her legs went weak, and she forced herself not to collapse.

Yet, Naomi seemed slightly annoyed by her presence, as if Gianna interrupting something important between her and Levi.
“Ms. Lewis, do you have something else to say?”
“I…”
Gianna finally mustered.the courage to turn around again. “I left something important here. Mr. Rivera knows it. I would appreciate it if Mr. Rivera could return it to me.”
The atmosphere in the president’s office, which measured 2152 square feet, became very awkward.
Piles of documents covered the table, but they couldn’t hide the scene on the leather chair. Levi was in a white shirt with his collar unbuttoned, having a few strawberry–colored hickeys. His eyes were chilling.
“Oh? What is it?”
Hearing her words, Naomi became curious. She held Levi’s arm tighter and asked, “Levi, why did you take something from a secretary?”
“Just something trivial.”
Levi held onto Naomi’s arm, keeping her embraced in his arms. As Gianna looked up, the two of them were closely pressed together.
She tightened her l*ps and remained silent, her heart aching. Levi looked at her like a stranger and said, “You can leave now.”
His words were demanding and sharp.
Judging by his expression, she thought it seemed he wasn’t planning to return the pa*sport to her
“It’s my pa*sport.”
While Naomi was still present, she spoke directly, hoping to resolve this matter and leave for good once it was settled. She couldn’t stand being here for even another minute.
“I’ve actually resigned from Rivera Group already, but Mr. Rivera has withheld my pa*sport. Such behavior can’t help but make me suspect whether Mr. Rivera has other intentions toward me. Rivera Group is full of talent. There’s no need to resort to such despicable means against a secretary like me.”
The atmosphere in the president’s office suddenly became very awkward.
