Chapter 90 New Dangers
“Focus on yourself,” Levi responded with a furrowed brow, his voice turning cold.
“My crisis has been averted. It’s just a matter of navigating the intricacies of social obligations.” Liam handed Levi a bottle of water and asked, “And what about you? I heard you’re planning to get engaged.”
“I haven’t decided yet.”
Levi pushed the water bottle away and walked out.

On their way back, Jonathan suddenly spoke up, “The one who spoke up you, was that Levi?” Gianna, slightly irritated, replied, “He wasn’t just speaking up for me. He also has a stake in this.” Jonathan nodded. “He’s good–looking, but if he doesn’t like women, he’s not a match for you. You should divorce him.”
Gianna felt speechless. Jonathan’s comment was incredibly sarcastic.
“Yes, you’re right, so I divorced.”
Back when Gianna married Levi, Jonathan was on the other side of the world, tied up with
missions.
To ensure Levi’s character, he secretly hacked into Levi’s computer and investigated every aspect of his life. Surprisingly, he found out that Levi didn’t even have a single adult movie.
Jonathan even questioned if Levi might be impotent and compiled his findings into an email sent to Gianna, but she chose to ignore it.
Looking back at their three–year–long sexless marriage, Gianna couldn’t help but suspect that Levi might be incapable of sex.
She wondered how he managed to have a child with Naomi, and that was certainly open to debate.
“Jonathan, why are you still single this time you came back? Where’s your girlfriend?”
“She’s either still in my dreams or hasn’t been born yet, but anyway, I haven’t met her,” Jonathan replied with an air of tranquility.
“I don’t care. You need to find someone soon. Otherwise, as you get older with such a boring personality, you’ll definitely end up alone.” Gianna playfully shook Jonathan’s shoulder, making him laugh.
Chaim was too mature, always carrying severity, and Thiago never had a steady form, constantly being more unpredictable than Gianna herself. Only Jonathan was calm and caring, willing to silently listen to her vent and share her wild ideas.
Gianna had Erwin drop her off at the office first and then drove Jonathan home, planning to surprise Thiago.
As expected, Thiago, who had been working for a short while, called her to complain.
“Gianna! I’m so bored. He dismantled the humidifier in my room!
“Come pick me up, let’s go for a drive. It’s better than staying with a robot!”
Gianna laughed on the other end of the phone. “Just stay home and don’t fight.” Thiago’s complaint went unresolved, and he hung up.

Gianna continued to focus on her work. When she finally looked up again, it was already eleven o’clock at night.
She went outside and found Erwin still there, so they left the building together.
On the way home, Erwin passed a dimly lit intersection.
The green light turned on, and just as Erwin was about to start driving, a group of fierce–looking men suddenly rushed over.
Each of them was armed with long knives, effectively blocking the path of their vehicle.
Erwin attempted to reverse, but the rear of the car was also blocked by people who began banging on the car windows and shouting as they descended.
“Ms. Lewis, please call the police. Stay in the car and don’t go out. I’ll handle this.”
While Erwin had plenty of experience as an assistant, he had rarely encountered a situation like this in his life. His words trembled momentarily as he tried to gather himself.
He attempted to open the car door but was stopped by Gianna, who was sitting in the back seat. “It won’t help even if you go out. They’re here for me.” Gianna’s voice was remarkably calm.
“You stay in the car, and I’ll protect you.”
Erwin swallowed hard and looked at Gianna through the distant lights.
Her
noticed a determined glint in her eyes, and strangely enough, he didn’t feel as nervous or frightened as before.
Outside, the burly men continued to pound on the car doors. Suddenly, the rear door swung open, and a person wearing high heels swiftly stepped out. The man wielding a knife was sent flying into.
the distant bushes.
Everyone was startled and turned to look at the tattooed man who was directing the operation. “Boss, weren’t we supposed to deal with a delicate, helpless woman today?”
“No one said she’d brought backup!”
