Chapter 423 Where Is Naomi? 

Upon hearing this, Erwin’s expression turned serious. “Ms. Lewis, the mine collapse in Dawn City is suspicious. No one was injured, but it’s affecting our project timeline.” 

“Was it an accident or sabotage?” 

Erwin lifted his gaze, his mouth forming a tight line. “Ms. Lewis, from what we’ve found, this doesn’t look like an accident…” 

Gianna narrowed her eyes as she heard this, and she gave a short, cold laugh. “Looks like someone’s getting restless.” 

A mysterious expression flashed across her face. “Does this have something to do with them?” 

Erwin said, “All I can tell you, Ms. Lewis, is that we’re still investigating. I’ll let you know ASAP when we have answers.” 

Gianna waved him off, then shifted her eyes to the floor-to-ceiling windows, 

Looking out at the city below, she was lost in thought. 

Just then, a pleasing ringtone broke her concentration. 

“Gianna, how about we meet up?” 

It was Susan’s voice on the other end. Gianna’s eyes flickered as she asked, “What’s this about, Ms. White?” 

“Why don’t we meet and clear the air? Unless, of course, you’re too scared to come?” 

Gianna’s face went cold. “Ms. White, trying to provoke me won’t work.” 

Susan chuckled, the sound coming through the phone clearly. “Gianna, are we still beating around. the bush? If you don’t come, you’ll regret it.” 

And with that, Susan hung up. 

A series of beeps rang in Gianna’s ears, followed by a location sent to her phone. It was right. across from Empyrean Group. 

Half an hour later, Gianna showed up at the café where Susan had been waiting for a while. 

“Ms. Lewis, good of you to finally make it.” Susan greeted her, standing up. 

Gianna smirked but it didn’t reach her eyes. “Ms. White… or maybe I should call you something else.” 

At this, Susan just chuckled but didn’t deny it.. 

After all these things, they finally had to be honest with each other. 

“Let’s get straight to the point,” Susan continued. “You’ve probably guessed who I am, so there’s no point in hiding it.. 

“Yes, I’m Naomi’s sister, the ‘vanished’ heiress of the Turner family, Amber Turner.” 

This revelation didn’t surprise Gianna. 

“So, Ms. Amber Turner, why did you want to meet me today?” 

“Gianna, let me get this straight. I want to know where Naomi is. What did the Lewis family do with her?” 

Gianna stayed cool. “You’re barking up the wrong tree. I have no idea where Naomi is.” 

“I don’t buy it,” Amber snapped, gripping her spoon tightly. “You’ve always despised Naomi, there’s

no way you’d just let her go. 

“Gianna, if you let Naomi go, I’ll cut you some slack. But if you don’t, you’ll pay dearly.” 

Watching Amber grind her teeth in frustration, Gianna seemed especially calm. 

Faced with Amber’s threats, Gianna merely responded indifferently, “What you choose to do is none of my concern. 

“Just a heads-up, Naomi is in some legal hot water right now. Even if she gets back to Silver City, she’ll spend her days behind bars.” 

Amber clenched her fists silently. “You really think I’ll believe you?”
