Chapter 422 The Tables Turned
Gianna smirked, seemingly agreeing with Warren. “You’re spot on, Mr. Denley. Let’s not make this any uglier than it has to be.”
However, the very next second, she unzipped her purse and fished out a USB drive.
“Mr. Denley, I’ve got the big picture in mind too. I’ve kept certain things hush-hush for the good of the company, but it’s time for a little heads-up, wouldn’t you say?”
Warren was puzzled by Gianna’s insinuations but couldn’t take his eyes off the USB drive she was holding, “What’s your angle here, Ms. Lewis?”
Gianna slightly grinned and handed the USB drive to him.
She leaned in closer and whispered, “Mr. Denley, you and your wife have been with the company for quite some time, but rules are rules. And let’s not kid ourselves, you know exactly what your wife’s been up to in the finance department.”
Warren’s face went ashen. “What are you implying?”
Gianna responded, “Everything you need to know is on that drive. You might want to examine it thoroughly when you get home.”
Warren clenched the USB drive tightly, his voice tinged with unease. “What’s on this thing?” Gianna’s casual demeanor remained, but her smile widened. She’d gotten the information from Chaim earlier, for use just when she needed it.
Now seemed like the perfect time.
“Mr. Denley, walls have ears. I’ve been lenient for the company’s sake, but with the evidence I have, your wife could end up behind bars.”
Completely deflated, Warren was stunned.
He never imagined that Gianna, a young upstart, would go this far, digging up so much dirt on his wife.
“Where did you get this?”
Pretending to be calm, Warren glared at Gianna, as if trying to see through her.
Gianna knew that taking someone down meant striking where it hurt the most.
She raised her eyebrows and spoke calmly, “Mr. Denley, it doesn’t matter where I got this from. From this day on, your wife must resign from Empyrean Group. Otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to hand this evidence over to the police.”
“You!”
Warren clenched his jaw, struggling with resentment before finally closing his eyes. “Alright, Ms. Lewis. I know what needs to be done.”
“That’s good to hear!”
Gianna paused before continuing, “And one more thing, Mr. Denley. I believe in fair play. I’ll stick to our bet, but if you try any dirty tricks, winning that way won’t give you any honor.”
With that, Gianna turned and strode away, leaving Warren standing there, his face flushed with indignation.
He gripped the USB drive tightly. It was crystal clear to him that Gianna had just a*serted her
dominance.

time he dever been put in his place.
How could he swallow such humiliation?
On the other side, Gianna pushed the door open and entered her office, with Erwin following half a step behind.
His voice filled with glee. “Ms. Lewis, that felt so satisfying. You should have seen the look on Warren’s face. He looked so upset!”
Yet Gianna remained inscrutable, asking only, “Can we now talk about what happened with the mine collapse in Dawn City?”
