Chapter 241 If Weren’t Siblings
Without any hesitation, Levi directly stated, “I only want her.”
Gianna was frustrated and refused, “Mr. Rivera, this might not be convenient.”
Levi’s expression turned serious, displeasure evident on his face.
However, he couldn’t forcefully demand her in front of so many people, so he ended up being pulled away by Rebecca.
After they left, Maya quickly approached Gianna and asked concernedly, “Gianna, are you alright?”
Gianna snapped out of her daze and shook her head, “I’m fine, Grandma! How’s your health?” “I’m fine, it’s just my old ailments…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Ruby appeared, dragging a seven or eight–year–old boy by the ear as they descended the stairs. The boy’s body was covered in paint, and he held two paint brushes in his hands. With a tear–stained face, he was forcibly brought down.
“You little brat, look at the mess you’ve made!”
The boy burst into tears, his cries echoing through the hall.
Maya’s face turned sour, scolding with a cold expression, “Enough, you have no shame.” Ruby hadn’t expected that her target was Gianna, but she ended up embarrassing Levi. If Levi found out, who knew how he would deal with her son? So she took the initiative and apologized first, “Mom, the child doesn’t know any better. I didn’t expect him to make Levi look so miserable. Please ask Levi not to remember the past and not to hold it against him. I have already given him a good lesson…”
Maya’s face darkened, and she ignored her, instead pulling Gianna aside and said, “Let’s go, Gianna, let’s go over there…”
Gianna’s eyes darkened.
A faint sense of unease crept into her heart.
In the room, Rebecca sent away the servants, leaving only her and Levi.
Levi stood with his back to her, unaware that Rebecca hadn’t left yet. He took off his coat, but the next second, Rebecca pounced on him, saying, “Levi, let me help you.”
Rebecca’s eyes carried a hint of fervor.
Her movements were swift, and before Levi could react, she had already touched his coat. Levi instinctively took a step back, furrowing his brows as he looked at Rebecca with suspicion. He said, “Rebecca, I can handle it myself. Please leave.”
However, Rebecca seemed not to have heard the meaning behind his words.
“Levi, what are you saying! What’s the big deal between us? When we were kids, we used to take baths together, and you weren’t this shy. If it’s just helping you change clothes, what’s the problem? Don’t forget, I’m your sister. I’ve taken care of you since we were young.”
Levi’s eyes darkened, and his voice became heavy.
“Rebecca, there’s no need. Please leave.”
Rebecca’s movements abruptly stopped, and she looked up, meeting Levi’s deep gaze. It seemed like
years of repressed emotions were searching for a release.
“Levi, how good would it be if… if we weren’t siblings?”
As soon as those words were spoken, Levi’s eyes filled with astonishment. Without hesitation, he pushed her away.
“Rebecca, perhaps you’ve had too much to drink and are talking nonsense.”
Rebecca quickly stepped forward, as if she wanted to prove her feelings, “Levi, I haven’t had a drop of alcohol. I’m completely sober. It’s just that when I see you, I feel intoxicated.”
“Rebecca, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Since you like staying here, I’ll leave first.” After speaking, Levi swiftly walked away.
