Victor couldn’t hold back anymore and continued, “When they were all picking on Gianna back then, giving her a hard time, did you not feel a thing?”
“Now, after just a few words, you react so strongly? Man, isn’t your reaction time a bit too delayed?”
Levi responded coolly, “You sure are talkative today, aren’t you?”
Seeing that Levi was evading the question, Victor’s curiosity grew. He reached out, draping an arm around Levi’s shoulder. “Hey, are you waiting for someone?”
The ‘someone‘ Victor referred to was undoubtedly Gianna.
Levi’s lips twitched into a smirk. “Got a lot of free time on your hands?”
Victor quickly denied, “No, just a bit nosy, that’s all.”
“But let me give you a piece of friendly advice. You must show sincerity if you’ve realized your feelings and want to win Gianna back.”
“Admit your past mistakes, brace yourself, and stand tall!”
Victor laughed, “In short, treat her better.”
Levi replied irritably, “Do I need you to tell me that?”
Just then, a white Maserati came into view. Victor couldn’t help but whistle, his voice laced with
excitement. “Dude, she’s here.”
Gianna parked the car and, grabbing a gift, stepped out.
Many attendees that day were close relatives of the Rivera family, and they had some inkling about the gossip surrounding Gianna and Levi.
Especially their very public divorce. Hence, when they saw Gianna, their eyes widened in surprise.
Whispers spread among the crowd.
“Why is she here?”
“Weren’t they divorced? Have they reconciled?”
“She’s the heiress of the Lewis family. Her status far surpasses that of the Rivera family. The Rivera family are lucky to have married someone from the Lewis family.”
The murmurs continued.
Gianna, however, didn’t spare them a glance, unbothered by their comments. Wearing a glimmering dress accentuating her figure, she gracefully walked over in her heels.
Levi approached her proactively. “Hello.”
Gianna nodded slightly in acknowledgment. “Where’s Maya?”
-Levi hurriedly responded, “She’s inside. I’ll take you to her.”
Trying to hold back his laughter, Victor waved at Gianna. “Long time no see. But I heard you’ve taken my dad as a mentor, so I guess that makes us family now.”
Gianna hummed in response and declined Levi’s offer to lead the way, heading inside alone.
“Maya!”
Upon seeing Gianna, Maya hurried over, gripping her hand. “Dear, you came!”

Most of the attendees were relatives of the Rivera family. In the past, they looked down on Gianna, even mocking her, believing she had socially climbed by marrying into the Rivera family.
Now, aware of Gianna’s true status, their demeanors had changed, greeting her with smiles and many even approaching her proactively.
“Gianna, it’s been so long. You look even more beautiful.”
The one speaking was Ruby, Levi’s younger aunt. She, along with Sienna, used to target Gianna quite often. But now, her attitude seemed to have taken a complete turn.
“I heard your grandpa is Bill. I really wish I could meet him someday.”
Gianna, unfazed, replied, “Sorry, but my grandpa is quite busy.”
Had this been in the past, Ruby would have been enraged. But now, she just gave a sheepish laugh, “The head of the Lewis family is bound to be busy, I suppose.”
