Chapter 234 Maya’s Birthday Feast
“Don’t joke around.”
Gianna spoke earnestly.
“I just believe you’ll find your own happiness.”
Maverick nodded in agreement with a relaxed expression.
He didn’t continue the conversation. Yet, his gaze grew more resolute about his decision.
For the next few days, Gianna was swamped with work.
She had to catch up on tasks she missed due to the fashion show, working late into the night. Finally, when Saturday arrived, she got a chance to rest.
Early in the morning, her phone rang. It was Maya.
“Gianna, are you coming to Rivera Manor today?”
Gianna hesitated, but the eagerness in Maya’s voice was unmistakable. Eventually, she agreed.
“Maya, it’s your birthday today. I’ll be there on time.”
Hearing the affirmation, Maya was extremely happy, her smile unceasing.
“Great! I’ll wait for you at Rivera Manor.”
After hanging up, Gianna glanced out the window.
The morning sun streamed into the room, casting a warm glow. The weather was perfect.
She retrieved the jewelry she bought at the last auction from her safe and called for her servant.
“Max, help me pack this into a gift box.”
“Yes, Ms. Lewis.”
Max was quick, wrapping it up in no time.
Seeing the bow on the gift box, Gianna couldn’t help but smile, “Max, you’re quite skilled.”
“Thank you for the compliment. ‘Ms. Lewis, where are you headed today?”
As Gianna selected a car from the garage, she casually mentioned, “To Rivera Manor.”
Max didn’t inquire further.
Gianna chose a white Maserati and drove off.
Rivera Manor was brightly lit and bustling today.
Maya’s birthday was always a significant event at Rivera Manor. The vast mansion’s exterior was already lined with luxury cars. Guests streamed in, bearing gifts.
Inside the main hall.
Guests surrounded Maya, showering her with blessings. She smiled graciously, thanking
everyone.
However, her gaze kept drifting toward the main entrance as if expecting someone.
“Mom, for your birthday, Rebecca has prepared a special gift,” Fiona, Levi’s aunt, said as she approached with Rebecca.
“Happy Birthday, Grandma.”

Maya shifted her focus and nodded with a smile. “Thank you.”
Seizing the opportunity, Fiona linked arms with Maya. “Mom, Rebecca is already twenty five. It’s time she considered marriage. Do you know any eligible bachelors to introduce her to?”
“What are you talking about, Mom?” Rebecca interjected, visibly annoyed.
Fiona pressed on. “You don’t understand. A man should marry when mature, a woman when young. It’s unheard of for a twenty five–year–old to be single.”
Rebecca, irritated, shot back. “Mom, just mind your own business.”
“Why are you speaking like this? What’s wrong with letting your grandma advise you?” Fiona retorted.
Ignoring her, Rebecca just huffed coldly.
But Fiona was prepared. She pulled out a stack of documents from her bag. “Mom, I’ve gathered information on all the eligible bachelors under thirty in Silver City. Please review them.”
Sienna, walking nearby, couldn’t help but comment, “Fiona, what are you doing? It’s Mom’s birthday, and you’re pulling stunts like this?”
The two sisters–in–law, Fiona and Sienna, had never gotten along.
After all, though Sienna was a later addition to the Rivera family through marriage, she had one thing going for Fiona. Sienna bore a son.
