Gianna concealed all her emotions and said calmly, “Mr. Rivera are you concerned about me? But I’m sorry, I don’t need your concern.”
“I’m just relieved to see that you’re okay,” Levi said, seemingly lost in his own thoughts.
After a pause, he continued, “The nanotechnology robots we’re collaborating on with Liam are currently in the final stages of development. Next month, there will be a product launch event. This is our first project together. If you have the time, we could go together and take a look.” Levi started talking about work.
Gianna didn’t refuse. After all, this was a project she was involved in.
“Sure, I’ll make time to attend.”
Levi had just overheard Gianna’s conversation with Warren, and he had a rough idea that the Gianna before him might be in need of assistance.
So, he said again.
“Ms. Lewis, the Rivera Group is currently exploring several emerging projects. If you’re interested, we can continue our cooperation…”
Gianna refused without thinking.
“No need, Mr. Rivera!”
“I’m sorry,” Levi said, as he laughed at himself and looked down. “Do you not want to have anything to do with me?”
“But haven’t you always been clear about keeping business and personal matters separate?” “Or is it that you’re afraid to cooperate with me now?”
Gianna wasn’t provoked by his words, and they didn’t stir even the slightest ripple in her. She replied calmly.
“Mr. Rivera, you’re as confident as ever. However, Empyrean Group has already entered into a new partnership with Fallon Group. It might be best for both the Rivera Group and us to avoid excessive entanglements.”
She expressed her point of view quite straightforwardly.
Levi didn’t agree with her approach. “A newly established company, still finding its footing, and yet you’re already rushing around. Aren’t you afraid of stumbling?”
His words were filled with condescension.
“Mr. Rivera, it seems you’ve never learned how to respect others from the beginning to the end!” Levi’s expression became somewhat unpleasant.
“Gianna, is this how you see me?”
Calling her by her name directly, there was a sense of disappointment in his words.
Gianna simply stated, “That’s the reality, isn’t it?”

Gianna’s heart still warmed at the thought.
“I will visit Maya for her birthday, but as for anything else, Mr. Rivera, let’s not discuss it.”
Levi, however, seemed to deliberately ignore the second part of her statement.
He just knew it.
Gianna still had some consideration for their past relationship, to some extent.
“All right, then on Saturday, I’ll wait for you at the Rivera Manor.”
Without waiting for Gianna’s response, he acted as if he were afraid Gianna might change her mind.
Levi turned and left, his mind already forming a general plan.
But this time, he was going to place all his hopes on Maya.
After Levi left, Gianna sat alone in her seat, lost in thought.
Seeing this, Maverick walked over to her and tapped the table. “Gianna, are you still thinking about that Levi guy?”
