Chapter 231 You Can’t Stop Me
Warren saw Levi.
There was a hint of surprise in his eyes as he said, “Mr. Rivera, what wind has brought you to Empyrean Group?”
Levi looked up and made eye contact, projecting a sense of royal power. With just one glance, Levi established dominance.
“What’s this? Why is Empyrean Group not very welcoming?”
Warren forced a smile.
“Mr. Rivera, not at all. It’s just that Ms. Lewis is currently not in a position to meet you…”
There was a clear undertone of ambiguity in this statement!
Warren was also a shrewd individual, so how could he not guess Levi’s intentions?
Levi kept his gaze straight ahead and looked towards the location of Gianna and Maverick, not hesitating to fire back.
“Whether it’s convenient or not isn’t for you to decide, is it?”
Warren appeared embarrassed and could only smile and say, “Mr. Rivera is right…”
But Levi no longer paid him any attention.
He left with this remark.
Levi walked over to Gianna.
Gianna saw Levi.
She frowned slightly at the center of her eyebrows but didn’t seem to care.
“Gianna…”
Even when Levi called out to her, she also pretended not to hear.
She simply pushed open the office door and entered.
Jason felt a bit awkward and rubbed his nose before decisively choosing to keep his distance.
“Mr. Rivera, I’ll wait for
you outside.”
Levi was just about to reach the office door when he was stopped by Maverick.
Two former close friends.
They confronted each other with equally powerful auras.
Maverick greeted first.
“Levi, what are you doing here?”
“Are
you blocking me?”
Maverick didn’t avert his gaze and said without hesitation, “She doesn’t want to see you. You’d better leave.”
Levi’s eyes narrowed, and his innate pride made him instinctively raise his chin.

But Maverick remained stubborn, saying, “Even if I can’t stop you, I’ll still try! I won’t let you in today, anyway…”
Both sides stood their ground.

Neither was willing to back down.
“Hmm… Maverick, I never thought that one day we would become so estranged.”
His words showed a little self–doubt, but Maverick stayed unfazed. “Levi, you’re already divorced. Why do you keep bothering her?”
Levi’s expression softened. “Who told you I came to bother her?”
Maverick was puzzled. “You’re not?”
Levi simply said, “There’s something I’ve always wanted to say, Maverick. Why bother with this? Even if in the end, it’s not me who ends up with her, it certainly won’t be you.”
As soon as those words came out, Maverick’s expression became quite grim.
“Shut up.”
Leyi remained indifferent. “I’m just stating the facts.”
Maverick clenched his fists tightly but managed to restrain himself. “Hmm… even if it’s not me! As long as she’s happy, even if that happiness doesn’t come from me, it doesn’t matter.”
Maverick’s words sent a shiver through Gianna. She had never realized how deeply Maverick felt for her.
This emotion left her feeling overwhelmed…
She couldn’t respond.
She was unable to bear his love like this.
“Let him come in.” Gianna said.
Maverick was surprised. “Gianna…”
But Gianna interjected, saying, “Mr. Rivera, if you have business to discuss, do so. If not, please leave.”
She maintained a strictly businesslike attitude.
Seeing this, Maverick had no choice but to step aside and let Levi enter.
Levi’s gaze burned intensely on her, as if he wanted to see right through her.
Gianna furrowed her brows, feeling somewhat uneasy.
“Mr. Rivera, is there something you want to discuss?” Levi pursed his lips and asked, “Are you doing okay?” Levi was aware of Gianna’s incident with the fire.
