Jennings Group?
Hudson sneered when he heard it. He should have anticipated this the moment he saw Cherise with Logan Jennings in the club last night and how protective he was of her. It seemed he had underestimated his ex–wife’s seduction technique or even the relationship between her and the CEO of the Jennings Group.
Hudson flipped through the document and sneered again as he saw how easily they were willing to pay for the breach of contract. Terminating contracts with Jennings Group would not affect the Amery Group too much. It’d be easy to find another group to take their place. He believed It would be the Jennings Group’s loss and not the Amery’s with this termination of their collaboration.
Closing the document and sliding it across the table for Miles to take, he ordered, “Ask the Jennings Group’s lawyers to come so we can finalize the termination.”
“Alright,” Miles nodded as he collected the document and put it in his mind to call the Jennings Group immediately after delivering another piece of news, which undoubtedly would cause him to sweat bullets even more.
“Anything else?” Hudson asked his PA, who stood there, not moving after receiving his order. Miles should know he was not in a good mood, yet he still didn’t do what was ordered. This only increased Hudson’s annoyance, and his splitting headache nearly caused him to hurl an ashtray at

“Sir,” Miles gulped before continuing his words, readying himself to be lashed out by his irritated boss, “there’s another news.”
“Speak!” Hudson glared at him. He didn’t know why Miles still acted like he was new to the job after working for him for so long.
What he didn’t know was that his cold demeanor was really frightening, and not everyone could stand his iciness, especially when his coldness had seemed to reach below freezing level today.
Miles placed another document on Hudson’s table and bravely said, “There is another company that wants to terminate their contract with us.”
As he had expected, his boss‘ face darkened. Hudson couldn’t believe any company dared to terminate their corporation with his company. Didn’t they know the Amery Group is the most influential group in country B, and termination of contracts might get them on the bad side with him?
“Which company?” Hudson narrowed his eyes; his coldness spilled out from every pore of his being, nearly making Miles shake like a leaf.
“The Angelword,” Miles squeaked but quickly cleared his throat and repeated his words in a calmer tone, “the Angelworld Jewelry.” As Hudson’s PA, he had to be able to maintain pressure from everyone, even if he mostly pretended in front of his boss. His boss was one scary boss!

Much to Miles’s surprise, his boss didn’t lose his temper. Instead, a frown appeared on his handsome face, and Miles sighed in relief secretly. At least he wouldn’t feel his boss’s wrath this
time.
Hudson took the document and, as before, flipped through it, this time reading it more carefully than the termination contract of Jennings Groups. It was a standard document for contract termination, only with the signature of the head of the department and not only the CEO’s, just like their usual contract, but he was confused about it, and his frown deepened even further.
He tapped his finger against the table while thinking of the reason for this termination. Angelworld Jewelry and La Jewel had just started working together for the past three years, and their collaboration had always been successful.
Both companies had reaped great benefits and became well–known, especially since the designs. from Angelworld Jewelry were one of a kind intricate and elegant, yet at the same time, there was always a mysterious layer to them that made all the ladies in the Elite class clamor to get their hands on them, and every collection was always sold out even before they were released. So what could be the reason behind this?
Hudson’s finger stopped moving before he asked Miles, “Is there any change happening in the Angelworld Jewelry?” That seemed to be the only plausible explanation.
Miles thought about it a while and remembered something important he had heard about the Angelworld Jewelry. “It seems the CEO has finally shown herself”
Hudson’s usually cold and indifferent facial expression finally showed some emotions as his eyebrows shot up in surprise. No one had ever seen the CEO of Angelworld Jewelry. They had been working with the head of the department and not even the CEO’s personal secretary.

“Did they sever any other collaboration besides the one with us?” Hudson asked.
Miles shook his head. “I’m not so sure, but I have a feeling they don’t.” For the past three years, Angelworld Jewelry’s primary collaboration has been with La Jewel. Terminating other contracts seemed impossible if they had already lost their main partner. It would be like a suicide mission straight to bankruptcy if they did that.
“Make an appointment with the CEO. Tell them I won’t agree with the termination of the contract. without being given a valid reason for it,” Hudson decided.
“Right away,” Miles nodded and went to do the tasks he was assigned to. Both tasks were easy, so he quickly made phone calls to both companies.
At Angelworld Jewelry, Logan and Cherise were eating dinner when Neil knocked on the door and

“Miss Cherise, we have just received a call from Miles saying Mr. Hudson will not terminate the contract without meeting you,” he reported.
Cherise smirked. She knew it would happen. With the help she had given La Jewel for the past. three years, there wouldn’t be a chance for Hudson to let their collaboration go easily.
At the same time, Logan received a call from his secretary about Hudson’s request.
“What does he want?” Cherise asked once he ended the call.
“He wants my lawyer to meet him to finalize the termination of contracts,” Logan replied.
“Oh, it’s easy for you, then,” Cherise said as she continued eating.
“What will you do with his request?” Logan frowned, worried for her. All the employees of Angelworld Jewelry had signed a non–disclosure agreement not to tell anyone who their new CEO was. So how was she to meet Hudson as the CEO?
“I have a plan,” Cherise said after she munched and swallowed her food. She turned to look at Neil and said, “Tell him to come in three days‘ time.”
“Alright, Miss Cherise,” Neil replied before leaving the room. After calling Miles to make the appointment, he dialed another number. Knowing how his real boss cared for his sister a lot, he decided to let Julian know everything that was happening in Angelworld Jewelry.
“Am I allowed to know what your plan is?” Logan teased Cherise once Neil left the room.
Cherise laughed and smiled slyly. “Of course! I will need your help in executing the plan.”
“How so?” he raised an eyebrow at her, interested to know how he could help her.
“Tell your lawyer to come here in three days‘ time, and we will announce to that jackass that Angelworld Jewelry has decided to cooperate with the Jennings Group,” she said lightly, causing Logan to frown.
“We can’t really sign the contract between our companies before you terminate the one you. with him since it’s for the same collection,” he pointed out.

“I’ll offer him five times the amount for breaching the contract. He’s a CEO. He’s all about money and profit. He won’t be able to say no to that,” Cherise laughed.
“Cherry…” Logan said helplessly. “You are now the CEO of a company. You can’t be this reckless.”
“I know,” Cherise smiled. “It’ll only be this one time, and I’ll use my own money to pay for it. I won’t use the company money.
“Cherry.” Logan was still unsure of her decision.
