She headed to the taxi stand by the street to hail a taxi. When one stopped in front of her, she opened the pa*senger door only to watch as a hand suddenly appeared to push the door. back shut. Eileen tried to open the window, but Eric pulled her back by the collar. With one hand, he grabbed her swollen cheeks and threatened with a cold glint in his eyes, “Make one more sound, and I’ll use you as shark bait.”
Eileen immediately felt a chill down her spine.
When he saw her finally behaving. Eric let go of his hand.
However, noticing that his fingers were smeared with ointment, he wiped it off on her b*dy in disgust.
Annoyed, Eileen slapped the spot he had just wiped, then moved to the corner of the seat.
Upon arriving at General Hospital, Eileen underwent some tests and her allergies were identified.
It turned out to be rose hip and mango.
She had consumed desserts containing two different allergens, which explained why her face was so swollen.
Lying in the hospital room and hooked up to an IV drip, Eileen needed at least three to five days for the swelling on her face to go down. For the time being, she had to avoid spicy food.
Eric asked, “Feeling better now?”
Eileen remained silent.
“I’ll have Sharon bring you some clothes later. Once you’re better, you’ll come home with
me.”
Eileen had already laid down, her head covered with a blanket as she was in no mood to look at his hypocritical face.
When Eric’s phone rang, he stepped out of the ward to take the call, which was from the office.
By the time he hung up and returned to the room, Eileen had already fallen asleep.

Eric instucted Gavin. “It will be a while before Sharon gets here. Stay here and watch her. Don’t let her wander ofl.”
Given her nature, she might try to sneak out of the hospital later.
As Eileen couldn’t bring herself to leave Sharon, there was nothing left in the Swan family that could make her stay.

Jasper found Eileen’s ward and quietly walked in, while Fabian waited outside the door.
Upon seeing the sudden arrival of the stranger, Sharon asked, “Who are you?” She scrutinized the man standing before her. Jasper was wearing an ash-grey suit that revealed. the tattoos under his collar. Sharon became wary upon seeing the tattoos, suspecting that he might be part of a gang.
After all, Eileen would never a*sociate with such people.
Jasper’s tone softened a bit. “I’m Eileen’s friend. Is she doing alright?”
