Vera said, “Elm, if you need notes, I can lend you mine. Eileen is busy studying and attending her extracurricular cla*s, so she’s pretty busy.”
Elm continued to lie down and fell asleep without paying them any heed.

She walked over and peered into the farthest corner of the cla*sroom. There was a slight crack in the window, allowing a gentle breeze to blow, causing Elm’s hair to sway. He had one hand stretched out, while the other was bent, resting in the crook of his arm. He appeared to be asleep.
Eileen quietly approached and discovered that her notebook was still under his hand.
