Chapter 108 Tragedy Maker
Eileen received a box of medicine from Vera, which was given to her by Sharon. She only accepted it because it was personally handed to her by Sharon. Since Vera was with Eric, Eileen wondered what kind of medicine it was.
After expressing her gratitude, Eileen left with Yvette to go to the cafetería.
Before Walsh could start a conversation with her, she had already left. He couldn’t help but sigh and think to himself, “Eileen is becoming more and more impressive. If only I had half of her grades, my dad wouldn’t scold me every day, saying that having a daughter like me is embarra*sing for him.”

As usual, Eileen had to attend Jacob’s cla*s. It had to be said that Jacob’s teaching was indeed good. He would create a study plan based on each student’s weaknesses. However. Upon reaching the professional training workshop, Eileen asked, “Why hasn’t Hector been coming to school recently? Is there something going on at his home?”
Yvette casually replied, “I’m not sure; probably something came up at home! But if I were to guess, he must have gone to take care of his mother.”
“Is his mother sick?”
After some thought, Yvette said, “I’m not sure. Why are you suddenly concerned about him?”
Eileen chuckled and echoed, “Just making casual conversation.” Without thinking too much about it, the two of them entered the professional training workshop.
Night had fallen, and it was already half past nine. The living room light was still on. Sharon prepared some late-night snacks and brought them into Vera’s room. Seeing that Vera was still studying, she didn’t disturb her. She quietly stepped out and closed the door.
Just then, the door opened with a soft click.
Seeing the person who had returned, she said, “Mr. Snow, have you been out socializing again? Do you need me to make some hangover remedy?”
Eric, who reeked of alcohol. rubbed his tired brow. “No need.” He noticed light coming from under another door and glanced at his wristwatch. It was almost ten. “Has Vera not gone to bed yet?”
Sharon replied, “Vera is still studying. I just made her a late-night snack and brought it to he By the way, Mr. Snow, how is Eileen doing with her studies at school? It’s getting late. I wonder if she has made it home yet.”
Eric tossed his suit and keys onto the table in the foyer. “I’ll go take a look.”
Eric knocked a few times, then opened the door.
Vera turned around and quickly broke into a smile. “Eric, you’re back!”
Eric walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat beside her. “I’ve noticed you’ve been staying up late recently. You must have a lot of schoolwork.”
Vera shook her head. “No… I just want to get good grades at the end of the term. Maybe I can even get a scholarship. That way, I can buy you a birthday present before your birthday.”
Eric replied, “I don’t want any birthday gifts. You don’t need to put too much pressure on yourself. Get some rest early.”
“Oh well, being in Cla*s One isn’t really that stressful. Most of the time, I’m just hanging out with my cla*smates. I’ve been slacking off a lot recently. I’m not as diligent as Eileen, who got into the Olympiad Math Cla*s. She might even get a guaranteed admission to Hulbury University in the future. As her older sister, I should set a good example. “All right.” Eric adjusted his position and helped her with the question.
Under the moonlight, by the windowsill, a soft voice hummed gently, emanating from the room. The man’s well-defined fingers fluttered over the Blake paper, writing out beautiful numbers and forming a simple and easy-to-understand formula. The young girl by his side nodded in agreement from time to time, creating a harmonious and beautiful scene…
It was eleven o’clock at night.
As the ringtone of a phone sounded, Eric paused. The moment he took out his phone, the call abruptly ended. Eric’s eyes dimmed as he checked the missed call that had been hung up. His eyes, deep as obsidian, darkened even more.
At the police station, Eileen abruptly ended the call that the police officer was about to make. Unbeknownst to her, the call had already rung for a few seconds on the man’s phone.
“Officer, this was just a joke between me and my cla*smate. See, I’m perfectly fine! It’s so late

In the corner, a line of people stood-one with red hair, another with green, both incredibly conspicuous. The rebellious young girl in the middle was the most noticeable, dressed in leather from head to toe and adorned with tattoos. At a glance, it was clear she had spent a long time being in a gang and learning all the wrong things.
These individuals were none other than those whom Eileen had met in Peach Fishing Village. She knew one of them was named Paola.
Considering their good behavior this time, they were all free to go.
Silas and Nigel, the one with red hair, nodded and bowed. “Certainly, officer. We appreciate your advice. In the future, we will strive to be responsible citizens and do what is right.”
“If you want to be upstanding citizens, I suggest you dye your flashy hair back to its natural color. None of you look presentable at all…
He continued, “However, you cannot leave. Both sets of parents must come here. Otherwise…

will have to remain at the station.” He directed this statement towards Eileen.
After all, Eileen was injured. If it came down to it, Hector might actually end up in jail.
After finishing her piano lesson, Eileen suddenly had a craving for roasted chestnuts, so she joined the queue to buy some. However, she did not expect that while peacefully walking down the street, someone would suddenly rush out and forcefully grab her neck, intending to harm her…
That was when a few individuals managed to come to her rescue. Yet, to their surprise, Hector had brought a knife. Realizing he was losing, he resorted to threatening them with the knife.
Taking advantage of the moment when he was distracted, Eileen pushed him away, accidentally injuring the back of her hand in the process.
Another person unintentionally got their stomach slashed by the knife and is currently in the hospital.
She glanced at the person locked in the detention room. Eileen never expected that the one
who harmed her would be Hector, who had been absent from school for a long time.
Eileen couldn’t comprehend why he would commit such an act.
If it was solely for the purpose of securing a spot on the Olympiad Math team…
There was absolutely no need to go to such extreme measures.
When Paola walked out, she was still filled with frustration. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. Halfway through her journey, she returned to Eileen and spoke irritably. “Hey, no offense, but are you some kind of trouble magnet? Why does misfortune always seem to follow you?
