Chapter 776 Choices in Psychological Treatment
Charlotte poured out the pills from the bottle, they were all round and white,
nothing special. The fabric of the packaging also looked fine as if Charlotte
was being paranoid.
But considering her aversion to Smollett, she decided not to take the risk.
When Joe entered, he happened to catch her throwing the pills into the trash
can.
Charlotte hesitated, not expecting to be caught in the act.
“I was just…” Charlotte thought for a long time, not knowing how to explain.
Fortunately, Joe didn’t press the issue, he simply said, “If you don’t feel
unwell, it’s fine to throw the medicine away.”

This time Joe did not appear, but had a chair moved to the doorway.
He had already installed a one-way gla*s window overnight, so he could keep
an eye on the room without disturbing Charlotte.

with her.”
Before starting the consultation, Smollett casually asked, “Did you feel
anything unusual after taking the medication yesterday?”
Charlotte shook her head calmly, “No, other than being a little drowsy, nothing
else was special.”
Smollett looked at her thoughtfully, without making any comment.
After asking some questions that Charlotte couldn’t answer, Smollett
suggested, “Since you have no aversion to medication, I recommend that you
try being hypnotized by me.”
Charlotte had a deep aversion to the word “hypnosis,” perhaps due to past
experiences. Even hearing Smollett’s suggestion made her frown deeply.
Clearly, she was very resistant to the idea.
Smollett sensed her emotions and said seriously, “I know you are very
cautious about this, but as a psychologist, I can only regretfully tell you that
hypnosis is an essential part of your quick recovery.”
“Even so, its effects go far beyond your imagination.”
Charlotte fell silent for a moment, then suddenly locked eyes with Smollett, “If
I undergo hypnosis, will I be able to recover my memory?”
Smollett nodded, “The odds are good.”
It was precisely because he understood Charlotte’s anxiety that he made this
suggestion in such a short time.
After much consideration, Charlotte agreed.
Smollett smiled enigmatically, looking at Charlotte, and said, “You won’t regret
it.”
Seeing that she agreed, Smollett walked to the side to make preparations.
He went and turned on the sound system, and soft, soothing music began to
play immediately.
Smollett took a golden pocket watch out of his pocket. The pocket watch
looked quite old, and there were scratches of varying depth on its face.
