Chapter 409 Was Played Around With

Thinking of this, I glanced sideways at Stanley, “You guys…”
He raised an eyebrow, “With just my own strength, there’s no way I could have gotten a patrol boat without reason.”
So, their plan was to force Ezra’s steamboat to stop here.
Ezra naturally saw Walter on the patrol boat across from him. He squinted slightly and turned to me, saying, “Tabatha, it seems he is much more persistent than I imagined.”
I pursed my l*ps, the contraband had already been thrown into the sea. Even if the police could come up and search, what could they find?
What seemed to hold Ezra back? It was nothing more than a waste of time.
“Mr. Hinton, what a coincidence, we meet again!” Ezra said, sliding in next to me and looking up at Walter who was standing on the deck of the patrol boat opposite us.
Walter didn’t speak, but the officer on the patrol boat across from him told Ezra that they needed to inspect his steamboat.
Ezra, however, was calm, spreading his hands out directly, allowing them to ch*ck at will.

began to inspect each cabin one by one.
The wind was strong on the deck, and Walter just stood there at a distance, our eyes meeting. Naturally, I couldn’t guess what he was thinking.
Not long after they went in, the police who were conducting the inspection came out, having found nothing. Seeing that almost all the police hadn’t found anything, Ezra said, “If there’s no problem, we’re in a hurry, so we’ll leave first.”
Saying this, he turned directly to the person beside him and said, “Say goodbye to our police comrades, we are about to set sail.”
“Found it.” A voice came from the cabin on the second floor, accompanied by thumping footsteps. A young policeman came down carrying a box in his hands and placed it on the deck.
He said to the leading officer, “There is a problem here.”
The officer squinted slightly at Ezra and said, “We need to open this up and take a look.”
Ezra frowned, but then said, “Okay.”
“Bang!” The box was knocked open, revealing a box full of guns.
In an instant, all the police officers became alert, watching Ezra.
It was true that Ezra had a gun, but given his temperament, it was surprising that he would brazenly leave it on the ship. It was well known that guns were prohibited domestically, and his box full of firearms was clearly illegal. He was likely to be invited for an interrogation.
I glanced sideways at Stanley, who seemed unsurprised and was looking calmly. I couldn’t help but ask him, “Did you do this?”

He scoffed, saying, “There are a few dozen guns here. Do you think with my abilities, I could have managed to get so many guns from the police station and put them on his steamboat?”
Indeed, he could get those insignificant contraband items, but getting so many firearms was absolutely impossible.
Glancing at him, I lowered my voice and said, “You discovered these things before? So that’s why you weren’t worried about Ezra reaching international waters?”
He raised an eyebrow, saying, “Unintentionally discovered.”
It seemed to be Ezra’s own stuff.
Thus, it couldn’t really be considered as treating him unfairly.
Upon seeing so many guns, the police immediately addressed Ezra, “Leave now. You’re suspected of illegal possession of a large number of firearms and arms smuggling. We need you to come with us.”
Ezra’s expression slightly lifted as he asked, “Am I going with you alone, or is everyone here going with you?”
The policeman frowned, “Of course, everyone has to come back with me.”
Ezra smirked, looking at the police officer, “Smuggling arms, that’s no small crime. Maybe you all should take a closer look, to see if these are really arms.”
Upon hearing his words, the police all frowned. Stanley was the first to notice the problem. He squatted down to take a look, and his face changed immediately afterwards.
Other police officers also crouched down to look, someone else also noticed the problem, saying, “Toy gun!”

Ezra smirked, “The toys made domestically are very exquisite. I liked them so much that I bought a lot, never thought I almost committed a crime.”
He was obviously playing tricks on purpose.
The faces of several police officers darkened, and naturally, Stanley was not surprised.
Seeing that everyone was silent, Ezra said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, if you have finished checking and there are no issues, I would like to take my fiancée home early. So, can we leave now?”
The leading police officer didn’t speak, instead he looked towards Walter, who had somehow already arrived. He was standing not far away, presumably having guessed Ezra’s trick long ago.
He didn’t say much, instead he looked at me and said, “Once you cross the border, it’s international waters. Are you sure you want to go with him?”
I looked at him, I knew, if I backed out at this moment, Walter would not hesitate to take me back. But looking at him, I still nodded, calmly
saying, “Hmm!”
