Without showing any emotion, I got up and tucked him in, saying, “Then I’ll just do as I please, you’re not allowed to complain.”

I wasn’t in the mood to listen to his comments either. I hadn’t eaten anything since morning and was starving. I walked to the side and started eating my own portion.
