Chapter 84 Eroded Trust 

Gianna came to a halt. 

“Slap yourself or kneel down to apologize. You haven’t done either of those things yet, so why are you so arrogant?” 

Naomi was furious. “Why would I kneel to a woman like you? Are you insane?” 

She couldn’t stand Gianna’s casual indifference, and she regretted not being able to kill Gianna, only to end up in such a mess herself. 

“You don’t have to kneel, but once the child is born, you’ll still end up in prison. I have plenty of time to wait for you to reap what you’ve sown.” Gianna’s smile was sharp and filled with malice. “Even if I go to prison, I will have given birth to the child, a symbol of Levi’s love. Our connection will never be severed,” Naomi sneered and continued, “Unlike you, who has been married for three years and hasn’t produced a single egg!” 

Gianna’s eyes turned ice–cold in an instant. This was her sore spot. 

The most humiliating thing she had heard during her marriage was this exact statement! 

Thinking about Naomi causing the car accident and escaping punishment temporarily due to her pregnancy, then flaunting her dominance in front of her, Gianna couldn’t suppress her anger. 

She walked up to Naomi, grabbed her collar, and tilted her backward as if she were picking up a small chicken. 

“You dare say that again!” 

Naomi was petite, and her heels slipped, leaving her hanging in mid–air. If Gianna let would fall to the ground immediately.

She looked around and realized it was late at night, with no one around to help her. 

“Are you going to kneel down and apologize or not?”

Gianna didn’t actually intend to do anything. She just wanted to silence Naomi. She was confident she wouldn’t harm anyone. 

With a forceful pull forward, she then released her grip. 

Naomi’s face was filled with fearful tears as she sat on the ground, her legs weak, and her nerves shattered. 

She then saw Levi approaching. 

“Levi, she pushed me and our baby!” 

The scene inexplicably resembled Flenning’s photography exhibition. Levi, with a cold expression, felt annoyed by Naomi’s accusations. 

He walked over but didn’t even offer a hand to help her. He had no faith in her words. 

Frowning, he looked at Gianna with concern. “Why are you at the hospital? Is your injury from the car accident not healed yet?”

“No need to worry. My Gianna is just fine!” Thiago had seen enough of the show and was now walking away with Gianna, his arm affectionately around her shoulders. 

Naomi struggled to stand on her own and tearfully asked, “Levi, why aren’t you protecting me 

now?” 

Levi cast a cold glance at Naomi. “Lie too many times, and trust will be eroded.” 

Without receiving any comfort, Naomi could only follow behind Levi as they left. 

A few days later. 

In the General Manager’s Office. 

“Ms. Lewis, most of the preliminary negotiations with Valken Group have been completed. Mr. Hill will return in a few days, and he said he’d discuss the technical updates in detail at that time,” Erwin said, taking the folder with Gianna’s signature. 

“Um.” 

Everything had been discussed thoroughly, yet Erwin remained standing behind Gianna,” unmoving. 

Gianna turned her head and asked, “You’re not leaving? Is there something else?” 

“Ms. Lewis… Just now, the Rivera Group made an announcement that Mr. Rivera and Ms. Turner are soon to be engaged.”

Her phone rang, pulling her thoughts back. 

It was Thiago. 

“Gianna, would you accompany me today to choose the theme accessories for the next concert? Please?” 

Thiago had been under the watchful eye of the butler these past few days, and his every move would be reported to Gianna. Now, he had to find a way to persuade Gianna, who had issued the order. 

“No, you still need some rest.” 

“We’re only going to choose the style, nothing too strenuous. Come on!” 

Gianna sighed and chuckled. Thiago just couldn’t sit still for a single day. “Fine, I’ll be off work soon. Have the butler send you over.” 

“Oh, finally getting out!” 

The two of them headed to Vere Jewelry. 

This time, no one dared to disrespect Gianna. The salesclerk who had suspected Gianna of stealing the necklace had been dismissed long ago. Additionally, during the jewelry exhibition, Natasha had revealed Gianna’s identity as a designer, so the employees now looked up to Gianna with admiration.
