As soon as the words fell, Shawn pulled her over and embraced her, whispering softly, “Alright.” Their bodies pressed tightly against each other, and Gianna could clearly feel her heart pounding
in her chest.
She struggled out of his embrace, almost as if escaping, and said, “Where’s the first aid kit? Let me help you.”
“It’s fine. The doctor has already taken care of it…”
“Your wound seems to have reopened.” After Gianna finished speaking, she turned around and started searching for the first aid kit. Seeing her getting a little frantic, Shawn smiled and walked towards another cabinet. “The first aid kit is here.”
Gianna was taken aback and quickly approached, snatching the first aid kit from him, “Sit down, I’ll change your dressing.”
Shawn obediently complied, sitting down on the sofa. His deep gaze fixed on her.
Gianna opened the first aid kit and took out the tools, carefully tending to his wound. Her movements were gentle, each one meticulous. Only when she removed the original bandage did Gianna finally see his wound clearly.
It looked like a cut from a sharp blade.
Gianna furrowed her brows, feeling that this injury was not normal. A thought emerged in the depths of her heart.
“Shawn, how did you get injured?”
Shawn didn’t want to upset her and simply said, “Just a minor accident, nothing serious.”
Gianna saw that he didn’t want to say more and didn’t ask further.
“Be careful in the future, and don’t get injured again.” she said, and then took a cotton swab and iodine from the first aid kit, carefully treating his wound.
Once the wound was dressed, Gianna finally breathed a sigh of relief. Upon closer inspection, she realized that due to nervousness, her forehead was covered in tiny beads of sweat.
“This wound needs to be redressed on time for it to heal faster.”
“Okay, I know…”
Gianna tidied up the first aid kit, and on the other side, Shawn took out his phone and made a phone call, saying, “Come to my private villa in five minutes.”
Gianna was curious. “Shawn, who are you talking to?”
Shawn hung up the phone and said, “You’ll find out soon.”
Gianna was intrigued. Not long after, the doorbell rang, and Gianna stood up first. “I’ll go open the door…”
But before she took a few steps, Shawn grabbed her arm. “It’s alright, he’ll come in by himself.” Gianna looked puzzled. Soon, the front door was opened, and the sound of heavy footsteps drew closer. It took Gianna a while to clearly see the person coming in.
It was a stranger whom Gianna was certain she had never seen before.
The man looked very serious, his face devoid of any extra expression.

Gianna accepted the card but still couldn’t understand. “Shawn, what does this mean?”
“Gianna, you will never be unable to find me again in the future.”
