Chapter 452 How Did You Get Injured? 

Gianna stood in front of Shawn, looking him up and down. 

Seeing him completely unharmed standing before her, a trace of grievance couldn’t help but surface in her heart. She pursed her l*ps and said, “Where have you been these past two days? I couldn’t reach you at all, and I thought…” 

Before she could finish her sentence, Shawn reached out and pulled her into his arms. 

Feeling the familiar embrace, Gianna instantly calmed down a bit. She quietly leaned against him, swallowing the words that were about to come out of her mouth. 

Shawn leaned close to her ear, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he softly said, “I’m sorry, Gianna, for making you worry…” 

There were some urgent issues at the headquarters of the Fallon Group, and he had been dealing with them in Flenning, so he didn’t have time to contact her. 

When he saw her missed calls and messages, he rushed back as soon as possible. 

After landing, he headed straight to Empyrean Group just to see her sooner. 

Gianna pouted, clearly unhappy. “Why couldn’t you even call me or reply to my message? Do you 

know…” 

“Mhm, I know. It won’t happen next time,” Shawn said. 

Gianna looked up at him, carefully examining him. The visible exhaustion on his face made 

Gianna feel a twinge of heartache. 

“Shawn, did you come straight to see me as soon as you got off the plane?” 

Shawn nodded. “Yes. I was afraid you would worry and get angry, so I came in person to apologize to you.” 

“So…you haven’t had a chance to rest properly?” 

Shawn hugged her waist. “Seeing you, all my fatigue disappears…” 

“You’re making a scene. We’re at the company.” Gianna quickly pushed him away, accidentally touching his shoulder, causing him to wince in pain and furrow his brows instinctively. Gianna noticed something amiss, “Are you injured?” 

Her tone was full of concern for him as she pretended to ch*ck his shoulder. Shawn, however, grabbed her hand. “Don’t worry, I’m fine.” 

Gianna did not believe him. Her touch wasn’t forceful just now, yet it seemed to have caused him, who usually remained unruffled, to furrow his brows. It must have been a serious injury. 

“Let me see!” Gianna forcefully reached out her hand, and as soon as she touched his shoulder, she saw a corner of exposed gauze. Her suspicion grew, “What happened? How did you get injured? Is 

it serious?” 

Shawn, seeing her full of worry, couldn’t help but feel a warmth in his heart. He rea*sured her, “It’s nothing, just a minor injury. It’ll heal quickly.” 

Despite his rea*surance, Gianna couldn’t hide her concern on her face. “No way. You’re injured, yet you came all the way here. Go back and rest properly…” 

Shawn couldn’t argue with Gianna, so he had to agree. 

“Alright, I understand.” But Gianna was still concerned. “I’ll send back.”

Chapter 452 How Did You Get Injured? 

A hint of a smile flashed in Shawn’s eyes. “Okay.” 

Gianna personally escorted him back to the villa. 

As soon as they entered, Gianna couldn’t wait to ch*ck his wound and said, “Let me see your shoulder. How did you get injured?” 

In the living room on the ground floor of the villa, Gianna took off his coat and lifted his shirt. Suddenly, the bandaged wound was exposed before her. 

The wound was well wrapped, but there were faint traces of blood seeping through the gauze. Shawn quickly rea*sured her, “It’s just a minor injury. It’s nothing. It’ll be fine in a while.” Gianna pursed her l*ps, clearly displeased. “Shawn, why didn’t you tell me when you got injured? And I just realized that after you lost contact, I couldn’t find anyone who could reach you. Next time, can you not make me worry like this?”
