Chapter 316 Mighty Boss
The onlookers were stunned as they watched Jax and his crew kneel before Gianna, who had just become their new boss. Soon after, they shouted in unison, “Boss!”
Gunner couldn’t believe his eyes. Every one of his comrades had acknowledged Gianna as their leader. Gunner started to question his place in the gang’s future.
Jax turned to Gunner and urged him to kneel as well, “Gunner, what are you waiting for? Kneel and show some respect to the boss. Maybe she’ll spare you.”
Reluctantly, Gunner knelt, but his mind was racing. He couldn’t help but feel a pang of
resentment.
Gianna, for her part, was surprised by Jax’s immediate compliance. It seemed he was a man who honored his word.
She started to gain respect toward Jax.
Once everyone was on their knees, Gianna addressed them. “You can all get up now.”
Upon hearing her command, Jax then instructed his subordinates to rise.
Jax approached Gianna humbly, speaking in a more respectful tone. “Boss, starting today, we’re all under your command. Regarding what Gunner did before, deciding his fate is up to you. want his life, it’s yours.”

Gianna played with her fingers and responded casually, “I’m not interested in taking his life, but I want him to do something for me.”
Gunner breathed a sigh of relief.
It seemed he had escaped death, at least for now.
“Ms. Lewis… I mean, boss.” Gunner corrected himself. “Please, give your orders.”
Gianna made her intentions clear. “What I want is simple. An eye for an eye. Do you understand?”
Gunner hesitated.
He had a history with Naomi, having been together for many years, and the thought of her being treated this way was difficult.
Gianna sensed his inner struggle and pressed. “What’s the matter? Not willing to comply?”
She leaned in, her cold gaze fixed on Gunner, exerting a powerful intimidation. Gianna continued, “You’re not willing? Perhaps you’re volunteering to take her punishment?” Gunner shivered uncontrollably.
He had no room for choice.
As his life was in the balance, he had no alternative but to prioritize self-preservation. “Give me three days, and I’ll ensure you’ll be satisfied,” he reluctantly conceded.
Gianna gave a slight nod, showing apparent contentment with the outcome.
As she turned to depart, Jax asked her, “Boss, what about us? Any orders?”
“When the need arises, I will naturally seek your a*sistance. Until then, everything here is under your command,” Gianna replied.
Jax nodded repeatedly. “Thank you, boss. Safe travels!”
The
group bid Gianna farewell with enthusiastic shouts of “Safe travels, boss!”
The scene was a stark contrast to her arrival. As soon as Gianna stepped out, she spotted Shawn

leaning casually against a car, exuding a subtle aura of anger.
Seeing her approach, Shawn straightened up and walked over. Gianna felt somewhat guilty and greeted him. “Shawn, why are you here?” She asked cautiously.
“Gianna,” Shawn said, rubbing her head. “Your courage seems to grow by the day. How dare you venture in here alone? Do you even know who Jax is? He’s a real heavyweight in Silver City’s underground, infamous for his brutal ways.”
Gianna blinked, finding Shawn’s description somewhat off the mark. In her view, Jax was rather endearing.
“Shawn, relax. I’m fine,” she rea*sured him.
Shawn sighed resignedly. He had received information about Gianna’s successful encounter with Jax from his subordinates, but he couldn’t shake off his lingering concerns. What if something unexpected happened to Gianna?
“Gianna, please promise me that from now on, no matter what you do, you’ll keep me in the loop,” he implored.
