Chapter 273 Provocation Doesn’t Work
Mark nodded repeatedly.
“I came to discuss cooperation with Mr. Rivera from the Rivera Group and thought I would take a ride in pa*sing. I’m not sure if Mr. Fallon is interested in joining us?”
Shawn, however, directly declined.
“I’m sorry, but it’s not convenient.”
Mark then looked towards Gianna, realizing the situation. “Understood, Mr. Fallon. We won’t disturb
you today Let’s arrange a meeting another time.”
After exchanging greetings with Shawn, Mark left.
“Mr. Rivera, shall we go?”
Levi spoke coldly, “No, Mr. Brown, I think our cooperation ends here.”
Mark was utterly bewildered.
“Mr. Rivera, you didn’t say that just now.”
Levi replied mercilessly, “As you said, that was just now.”
Mark didn’t understand where he had gone wrong throughout this encounter. However, given the influence of the Rivera Group, he had nowhere to vent his frustration.
He could only leave with a cold snort.
Levi stood to the side, never speaking, but his gaze remained fixed on Gianna. It was like a blazing flame surrounding her.
Feeling his gaze, Gianna furrowed her brows slightly and raised her eyes, making their
meet.
gazes
Levi couldn’t help but recall the last time they had been at a riding arena. At that time, they were competitors.
They even competed on horseback for a project.
Gianna’s carefree appearance on horseback was still vivid in his mind.
“Gianna, would you like to ride horses together?”
Levi extended an invitation.
However, Gianna ruthlessly declined. “I’m sorry, Mr. Rivera. I’m not interested.”
Levi’s expression darkened considerably.
At this moment, Rebecca approached them.
Her face held a smile that seemed neither genuine nor fake, and her gaze was fixed on Gianna. “What a coincidence, Gianna. You are also here.”
Her tone was friendly, and there was no trace of the anger from their last encounter, as if the previous incident had never happened.
Gianna was surprised at how Rebecca was brazened and replied, “Rebecca, are you here for horseback riding as well?”
Rebecca smiled. “Riding alone is boring. How about having a race together?”
Gianna promptly declined. “I’m sorry. I’m not interested.”
Rebecca continued unhurriedly, “Is it that you are not interested, or you are afraid? Gianna, are
you refusing to ride with me because you are scared, considering what happened last time?”
Gianna paid no attention to Rebecca’s attempts to provoke her and bluntly replied, “That’s right! I just don’t want to ride with you. Any problem?”
Rebecca was left speechless.
Her face turned somewhat unsightly. “Gianna, are you being so disrespectful?”
Gianna was speechless.
“Who are you? Why should I show you any respect?”
Rebecca was frustrated, her hands clenched tightly on both sides. Looking at Levi by her side, she said, “Levi, why don’t you accompany me instead?”
Levi was also straightforward in his response. “I’m not interested.”
Rebecca felt embarra*sed being rejected in public. She thought, When had she ever been treated this way?
Gianna didn’t pay any further attention to her and turned to Shawn, saying directly, “Shawn, let’s
go
feed Star and then head back.”
Shawn agreed with a hum, his eyes showing a hint of indulgence. “Sure.”
The two of them left together, completely ignoring the displeased expressions on Levi and Rebecca’s faces.
Rebecca was not reconciled and said reluctantly, “Who does Gianna think she is, acting so arrogantly?”
Levi retorted unceremoniously.
“Just shut up.”
