Chapter 270 Unrequited Love
“Knock, knock.” The sound of a knock on the door interrupted Shawn’s thoughts. He suddenly snapped back to reality, realizing that he had been lost in thought. Seeing that Gianna was still peacefully asleep, Shawn decided not to disturb her. Instead, he walked to the door and stopped the employees who had come to report work. “All work–related matters should be discussed in the conference room.”
The employees exchanged puzzled glances, couldn’t figure out the reason for exchanging the place all of a sudden, but obediently made their way to the conference room.
Gianna continued to sleep soundly. When she finally woke up, the spacious office was empty. The thin blanket that had covered her sl*pped off onto the floor as she got up.
Gianna quickly picked it up and stood up. The next second, the office door was pushed open. Shawn walked in, his eyes meeting with hers, and then he said in a deep and attractive voice, “Are you awake?”
Gianna looked embarra*sed and a little shy. “Did I sleep for a long time?”
“Well. It’s alright.”
Shawn walked over to her with a faint smile on his face. “Would you like to go out for a walk?”
Gianna looked surprised. “Can we?”
“Of course!”
With a positive response, Gianna nodded, and Shawn took her on a tour around the Fallon Group. The Fallon Group was quite large in scale, making it hard to imagine that this was a group that relocated here less than half a year ago and had achieved such a scale.
The employees were well–trained and efficient.
Shawn accompanied and introduced Gianna to the company’s main departments and the heads of each division one by one. Unconsciously, they found themselves in the sales department.
“Ms. Ward, who is the person following Mr. Fallon?” an employee quietly pulled Vicky over and asked.
Vicky raised her gaze, glanced lightly, and saw Gianna not far away.
Her expression turned cold, and she replied, “She is the chairman of our company, Ms. Lewis.” “Ms. Lewis? Is she the same one that Mr. Fallon introduced at the employee meeting before? “What’s the relationship between her and Mr. Fallon? They seem very close.
“Do you
think she could be Mr. Fallon’s girlfriend?”
Another employee also said, “I think it might be. When did Mr. Fallon treat a girl so well? He even personally gave her a tour of our company. He has never been this patient, even with important clients.”
“Yes! Mr. Fallon doesn’t even have a female a*sistant by his side now. We used to suspect that there was some issue with Mr. Fallon in that regard, but now I think he is probably deliberately avoiding females for his girlfriend’s sake.”
“Oh my, seriously! Where else can we find such a pure and good man? It’s only Mr. Fallon!”
Vicky’s face didn’t look too good when listening to the discussions of the employees. She used to be Shawn’s a*sistant and the only female a*sistant!

Now, she had been transferred to the sales department, and all of this was undoubtedly connected to Gianna!
“Focus on your work and stop gossiping!” Vicky reprimanded them sternly. The employees exchanged glances but dared not say anything else, obediently returning to their seats.
After Vicky left, they huddled together again. “Why do you think Ms. Ward was transferred from the CEO’s office to the sales department?
“And did you notice/she is unusually concerned about Mr. Fallon’s affairs? It goes beyond the usual relationship between a subordinate and a boss.”
“Could it be that she has feelings for Mr. Fallon? But Mr. Fallon is already taken, so… Does she have unrequited love?”
