“Mom, what am I going to do? What should I do?” Alaia repeated with a tearful voice. 

Sienna, filled with sympathy, comforted her. “It’s going to be alright, dear. Don’t worry. In a few days, I’ll arrange for you to go abroad. You should spend a few years overseas until this matter blows over and people forget about it. Then, you can come back.” 

Alaia, her eyes swollen from crying, sobbed. “Mom, I don’t want to go abroad.” 

Sienna sighed and said, “But sweetheart, it’s come to this point. If you don’t go abroad, there won’t be any other options. Fortunately, you’ve already left Silver University. I’ll have Levi help you apply to foreign universities through his contacts. Go abroad and focus on your studies.” 

Tears streamed down Sienna’s cheeks as she thought about Alaia’s situation. 

Suddenly, Alaia stopped crying and said, “Mom, it’s Gianna. It must be Gianna! She’s the one who’s responsible for ruining me like this.” 

Sienna couldn’t believe it. “What are you saying? Gianna?” 

Caught up in her emotions, Alaia hadn’t considered why the situation had unfolded this way. But now, as she calmed down and reflected on it, she couldn’t help but wonder. Initially, it should have been Gianna in that hotel room. Why did it end up being her and Emily instead? Who else could be behind this if not Gianna? 

Alaia said, “It must be Gianna! She prevented me from pursuing a career in design and forced me to drop out of school. Now, she’s completely ruined my reputation.” 

As Alaia spoke, her sadness deepened, and tears flowed uncontrollably. 

Sienna was in shock, and she couldn’t believe Gianna did this. “Why would Gianna do something like this? She’s destroyed your future, and our family’s reputation is in ruins, which is unacceptable! I’m going to confront her!” 

Sienna declared, preparing to get up and confront Gianna, but Maya’s stern words halted her. “Stop. Do you want to make this situation even more embarra*sing?” 

Sienna’s resolve crumbled instantly. “You heard it too. Gianna is responsible for what happened to Alaia. Why are you still protecting her? She’s no longer your grandchild and has no connection to this family. I won’t let her get away with this!” 

Maya declared firmly, “That’s enough. No one can leave this place until we get to this bottom.” Her involvement in family matters was rare, but Maya still held significant authority. 

After uttering these words, Sienna was in a dilemma and eventually had to give in. 

Moments later, the sound of a car approaching outside was heard. Maya’s expression darkened, and the butler promptly informed her, “Mr. Rivera has returned.” 

As soon as he heard this, Levi rushed into the room with a sense of urgency. 

Sienna saw Levi and felt like she had found a lifeline. “You’ve finally returned! Alaia’s situation is related to Gianna. You mustn’t let that wretched woman Gianna get away with it.” 

Levi remained composed and walked up to Maya, showing great respect. “Grandma Maya!” 

Maya sighed, “If I had known that you and Gianna would end up like this, I would never have allowed you to get married. Now that the marriage has ended, it’s partly your fault. Even if Gianna has some grievances, it’s something you should bear. After all, we are the Rivera family, and you owe her an apology.”

She looked at Maya, confused, unable to understand why Gianna was so important in her heart, especially when Alaia was her biological granddaughter.
