In an instant, Lily had a plan in her mind.
But Vicky was completely unaware and quickly said, “Mr. Fallon asked me to bring them over.”
Lily made a sound of knowing and shot an annoyed look at Shawn, who was clueless. Immediately, Lily said indifferently.
“Since that’s the case, Ms. Ward, your job is done. Gianna came to see me today, so I won’t keep you for dinner. I’ll invite you to my home another day as a guest.”
Upon hearing this, Vicky’s expression changed for a moment but quickly returned to normal. “Certainly, Mrs. Fallon! Then I’ll head back now.”
After Vicky finished speaking, she looked at Shawn and said, “Mr. Fallon, then I’ll leave first.” Shawn murmured in agreement and nodded.
Vicky bit her l*p, feeling dissatisfied, but couldn’t find a reason to stay any longer.
After she left, Lily grabbed Gianna and said, “Gianna, don’t worry! This guy won’t hire a female a*sistant again. What a nuisance!”
After finishing speaking, Lily glared at Shawn and said, “Quickly get her transferred from her current position, or else you’ll face the consequences.”
Shawn had no objections. Since Lily gave the order, he had no choice.
Gianna didn’t expect Lily to speak so straightforwardly!
This made Gianna feel that Lily had an exceptional skill in judging people. “Lily, didn’t you say you made my favorite grilled steak? I’m hungry.”
“You little glutton, go inside quickly.”
The family sat together for a meal, creating a heartwarming scene. “Gianna, have more of your favorite grilled steak and charcoal–grilled pork tenderloin.”
Looking at the full bowl of food, Gianna exclaimed, “Lily, that’s enough. If you keep serving, I won’t be able to finish.”
Lily said, “It’s okay. If you can’t finish, give it to Shawn. He’s been eating leftovers since he was little.”
Shawn was at a loss for words and felt helpless.
“Mom, I seriously doubt if I’m really your biological child.”
Shawn shook his head helplessly, but Lily didn’t care about his feelings. “I’ve told you so many times you were adopted, my foolish boy.”
Shawn could only keep quiet and eat.
After dinner, Lily chatted with Gianna about various topics, and she didn’t forget to take out the jewelry she bought a few days ago and put it on Gianna. It was a blue sapphire necklace, rare in the market and quite expensive. Just this small gem alone was worth at least one hundred million.
“It’s so beautiful!”
Lily nodded happily, then looked at Shawn and said, “Look, my taste is as good as ever, isn’t it?” “Mmm, the necklace looks great! The person wearing the necklace looks great, too.”

Lily silently observed the interaction between the two. Seeing Shawn finally coming around, she felt so happy in her heart. “Next time you come across something nice, remember to buy it for Gianna. Don’t be stingy.”
Shawn looked like he had learned a valuable lesson, but his eyes were always on Gianna.
“Got it.”
Gianna couldn’t help but smile. The feeling of being loved and cared for warmed her heart. She hugged Lily’s arm and said, “You’re the best to me.”
“That’s right, Gianna. You’re already considered a family member in my heart.”
And she truly hoped that the day they truly became a family would come soon!
Lily silently prayed in her heart while giving Shawn a warning look on the side. It seemed to say, “If you dare let my daughter–in–law run away, you’ll pay for it!”
