Chapter 153 She Is Our Idol 

Maverick eagerly waited at the airport exit, craning his neck. 

After half an hour, he finally spotted Gianna’s car slowly pulling in. Excitedly, he waved at Gianna, and before long, the car came to a steady stop right in front of him. 

“Oh, Gianna, you’ve finally arrived,” Maverick exclaimed. 

He had come a long way but didn’t look tired. Gianna said, “Thank you for your hard work.” 

Maverick opened the car door and got in, grinning from ear to ear. “It’s my honor to serve you.” 

Gianna started the car and asked, “Do you need a ride back home now?” 

“Let’s grab dinner first! It’d be my pleasure to have dinner with you.” 

Gianna frowned and inquired, “What are you in the mood for?” 

Maverick was easygoing. 

“Gianna, I’m not picky. Just make sure I’m well–fed.” 

Gianna remained silent. 

Maverick took out a delicate gift box from his bag and handed it to Gianna. “Gianna, this is a gift for you.” 

Gianna looked surprised. 

“What is it?” 

Maverick put on a mysterious look. “You’ll find out when you open it. But remember, you have to open it after you get home.” 

Gianna was puzzled, unsure of what Maverick was up to. 

“Do you really have to be so secretive?” 

Maverick boasted proudly, “Definitely.” 

Gianna picked a restaurant, parked the car in the garage, and both of them got out. Maverick was – like a chatterbox, walking and sharing amusing stories that had happened in Flenning during this 

time. 

Gianna teased, “I never expected you to have such a colorful life outside of work.” 

Maverick grew anxious and quickly clarified, “It’s not what you think. I’m just taking some time to unwind with friends!” 

“Hmm, I see.” 

However, Maverick felt Gianna didn’t fully believe him. He hastily explained, “Gianna, trust me. After I confessed my feelings to you, I haven’t strayed. I’m wholeheartedly devoted to you.” 

Seeing his sincere expression, Gianna struggled to adjust. 

“Okay, okay! I believe you.” 

The waiter showed them to a window table. As soon as they sat down, by chance, Alaia and a few friends finished their meal and prepared to leave. Interestingly, Alaia immediately spotted Gianna. 

“Well, who’s that woman having dinner?” Alaia glanced skeptically at Maverick. Her mind raced, but she couldn’t recollect any information about him. 

So, she took out her phone and discreetly snapped a photo of the two. After taking the photo, she

“Who is that man? Do you guys know them?” Alaia asked her friends. 

Since Maverick rarely frequented Silver City, those rich girls shook their heads. “I have no idea. But that woman sitting across from him seems familiar.” 

“She seems to be the daughter of the Lewis family!” 

“Oh yeah, that’s definitely her! She’s the heir to the rich*st family! I’m dreaming, aren’t I?” 

“I never thought I’d get to see her in person! That’s amazing!” 

Listening to her friends‘ overly excited voices, Alaia became displeased. “What’s wrong with all? Is this all you care about?” 

“Oh, you have no idea, Alaia. Gianna is our idol.”
