“Oh, did she say something else?”
Gianna’s attitude infuriated Levi.
In his view, Gianna had always appeared soft and weak. When did she become so assertive? Or maybe this was the real her now.
“Gianna, I’ve heard some rumors about you at Empyrean Group, and I know you need to improve your performance. Rivera Group can solve all your troubles if you need it.”
Levi’s words were clearly meant to show his goodwill.
“No, thank you,” Gianna replied coldly, not buying into it at all.
“Do you have anything else? If not, move your car!”
Blind rage
took hold of Levi. He said, “Are you so stubborn that you’d rather fail miserably than accept my help?”
Gianna thought Levi was out of mind today.
“Fail? I never fail! Most importantly, Mr. Rivera, we are already divorced. Rivera Group and
Empyrean Group are competitors now. Your well–intentioned gesture has been misplaced,” Gianna stated firmly.
“Hem. Gianna, you’re just as stubborn as ever.”
Gianna had no intention of engaging with him further and firmly pressed on the accelerator.
Levi felt a jolt in his heart.
He looked through the window, observing Gianna’s cold face with a hint of ruthlessness. “Gianna, what are you doing?” Levi exclaimed loudly.
“Move aside!”
Levi chose to stay in place. Gianna didn’t give him another chance to decide.
A loud crash resounded as Levi’s body trembled from the car’s violent impact. The once pristine Lamborghini now bore a deep dent.
“Gianna, have you gone insane?”
Levi’s eyes exhibited disbelief as he angrily shouted at Gianna.
Gianna gazed at him, her stubborn countenance lacking any tenderness. “Don’t dare to block a woman’s car, or else I cannot guarantee your life for the next time.”
Gianna made a sinister smile, disregarding Levi’s disheveled appearance. She abruptly turned the steering wheel, stepped on the accelerator, and swiftly departed.
This was a blatant provocation.
Levi’s veins bulged as anger surged, causing him to ruthlessly pound on the steering wheel. He wanted to catch up with her, but his car simply would not start.
“Gianna, you’re merciless.”
As she watched the man’s figure gradually disappear in the rearview mirror, Gianna’s smile slowly faded. She was unsure why she had acted so impulsively when facing Levi just now.
She even entertained the thought of perishing together with him.
It was sheer madness.

She told herself, “Gianna, you must be insane. You were even willing to sacrifice your life for at man like him.”
The cold wind whistled outside, awakening Gianna’s rationality.
Just then, the car phone rang, “Gianna, I just landed. Would you like to pick me up?”
Maverick’s annoying voice crackled through the phone. Gianna raised an eyebrow. “Have you concluded the business in Flenning?”
Proud of his expertise, Maverick boasted, “I’ve secured several major contracts. The company’s performance will increase by at least five percentage points in the coming year. Will you consider giving me a reward?”
It must be acknowledged that Maverick’s skills were truly remarkable.
Gianna’s previously downcast mood brightened as Maverick successfully secured the major contracts. She expressed her admiration, saying, “Great. I will arrange for a car to pick you up ask our colleagues to hold a party.”

Maverick hastily added, “Wait. I just landed, but I chose to call you first. Doesn’t that move you?” “Yes, it does move me. Your dedication truly touches me,” Gianna replied sarcastically.
“Then, will you come to pick me up? Otherwise, I’ll be left alone at the airport until dawn…” Maverick said pitifully, wearing a face full of grievances.
Gianna made a U–turn at the intersection. “Okay, I’m on my way to the airport to pick you up
now.”
Maverick was overjoyed. “Fantastic, my lady. I’ll be waiting for you at the airport exit.”
