Chapter 140 An Insincere Apology
It could tell how scheming Gianna was. No wonder that Naomi said before that she was the mistress between her and Levi!
It seemed that Naomi was right. Gianna was not easy to deal with.
Emily quickly apologized after realizing this, despite her reluctance to give in, “I’m sorry, Mr. Fallon. I said something inappropriate. Please forgive me.”
However, Shawn said, “Ms. Johnson, you should apologize to me.”
Emily was dumbfounded!
Did Shawn ask her to apologize to Gianna?
No way!
If it weren’t for Gianna, her aunt’s family wouldn’t have gone bankrupt, and her cousin Naomi wouldn’t been imprisoned!! She simply wanted to teach Gianna a lesson.
“Mr. Fallon, I…” She stuttered.
Shawn tapped the desk rhythmically with a cold face. The atmosphere in the huge conference room suddenly became tense.
Shawn’s patience was wearing thin.
Seeing that Emily had no intention of apologizing to Gianna, he stood up and straightened his clothes. “If that’s the case, forget about the cooperation. My company is not short of this project.”
“No!” Emily hurriedly stopped him.
Her company attached great importance to the new nanotechnology project and had already invested hundreds of millions of dollars in it. If she wrecked the collaboration, she would lose her job.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Lewis!”
Emily had no choice but to apologize to Gianna. She couldn’t afford to lose her job!
Gianna was not a generous person, but she could let Emily off the hook because it was concerned about the cooperation between the two companies. It was not worth it if the project was ruined because of Emily.
“It doesn’t matter, Ms. Johnson!” Gianna replied, looking sideways at Shawn.
Gianna felt warm in her heart because Shawn stood up for her.
Levi, who previously wanted to help Gianna out of the situation, but he was late. After seeing Shawn defending Gianna, he felt uncomfortable in his heart.
For a brief moment, he felt as though something he owned had been stolen away by someone
else.
His assistant Jason was in a sweat when he saw this.
For some reason, he had a hunch Levi and Gianna wouldn’t be able to rekindle their love. Colin, the CEO of Dragon Group, arrived late and said apologetically, “Everyone, I’m really sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long. I came over here in a hurry after ending a meeting.” Levi responded first with a cold face, “It doesn’t matter, Mr. Waters!”
After nodding politely at Levi, Colin strode straight to Shawn and said, “Mr. Fallon, sorry for keeping you waiting. Our meeting will start right away.”

Colin didn’t walk to his seat and sit down until Shawn nodded his head.
Emily was completely shocked when she saw that her boss was more respectful to Shaw than
Levi.
She knew Shawn and his Fallon Group had a strong background, but she never anticipated Colin to intimidate him so much.
She couldn’t help but clench her hands and glance at Gianna. She thought, “Gianna is so good at seducing men! No wonder Naomi will be defeated by her!”
But Emily was no pushover, too.
“Ms. Johnson is one of the main persons in charge of this project. Next, please allow her to introduce you to our overarching thinking as well as all the preliminary preparations we must undertake in the early stages of the project,” Colin said, mentioning Emily. Emily put her emotions aside, stood up, and walked over.
