Chapter 3
I was sure I wasn’t seeing things right because there was no way that the three arrogant people I hated the most were standing in front of me! The crowd’s screams and cheers brought me back to reality. At that moment, I knew I wasn’t dreaming or imagining because everything that was happening right in front of me was real and damn real.
I could tell they were still mad at each other because they had a cold look on their faces. All of the girls walked slowly toward them with their heads bowed out of respect. I was so shocked that I didn’t even realize I had to show them respect and bow my head as well.
All the memories I had been trying to forget came back at once, and I thought I was going to have a panic attack just thinking about how cruel and violent they were to almost everyone. My stomach hurt, and it felt like bile was rising to my throat as I covered my hands with my mouth before throwing up and making a mess of myself.
I ran quickly into the house and straight to the bathroom, where I threw up. I stood up with a sigh of relief and splashed water on my face as I went. to the sink to wash my hands. When I looked in the mirror, I was about to duck my head and splash water on my face again.
I was just like everyone else. Nothing at all! I had dark bags under my eyes that made them look like cats‘ eyes. Then I had an open wound right by my eye, which I think was caused by the girls who had been mean to me earlier. I took off the band that was around my wrist and reached for my brown hair, which was falling over my shoulders, to tie it into a big, messy bun.
How sad! This was the only thing I could think of as I looked at my sad self in the mirror. As I went to the door, I sighed in frustration.
“All I can say is that I hope things go well. I hope Ethan and I don’t run into each other tonight, and I hope he’s changed.” I said a quick wish to the moon goddess under my breath.

Chapter 3
I slowly walked to the kitchen to tell the head worker I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to go to bed for the night. As soon as I got there, someone grabbed me by the wrist and pushed a tray right into my hands.
“Olivia, you know you shouldn’t be roaming around the house at night, right? This is a big event, and Luna wouldn’t let anything stand in her way. Mrs. Cara, the head helper, gave me a gentle pat on the back.
“But, I…” I was hesitant.
“No buts!” She spoke up while giving me a look.
I quickly ducked my head and smiled as I made my way to the hall where the guests were.
The clinking of drinks and the guests‘ talking could be heard all over the room. The hall was traditionally beautiful because of how the lighting was
set up.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I looked everywhere for the three Alphas but couldn’t find them. I let out a sigh of relief because I thought they might have already left.
“Perhaps they just wanted to put on a show!” I thought to myself as I served wine to the guests with a bright smile that seemed a little forced.
When I saw that the Luna was looking at me, I gave her a big smile and showed her my teeth. When she stopped looking at me, I let out a sigh of relief and was about to go back to the kitchen when I heard the sound of clicking high heels stopping right behind me.
I stopped in my tracks and turned to see who it was. Penelope, Brianna, and Hailey were with her. As soon as I saw them, my heart started to race with fear, and I quickly turned my head down before they made a scene.
“It’s a pleasure to see you. What can I do for you?” My voice broke, and I gripped the tray so hard it felt like all my veins were going to pop out.
As Penelope shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest, they all

“I thought I wouldn’t see you at all today, if I’m being honest. You were lucky that I let you go today. If I hadn’t, I would have had to deal with you a lot.”
I swallowed and tried to choose my words carefully so I wouldn’t make them so mad that a scene would happen. “I’m sorry I ran away. I’m sorry, and I won’t do that again!”
The three of them laughed so hard that they were crying, and they both clapped their hands at the same time while still having that coy smile on their faces.
Penelope turned her head to the left, furrowing her brows and making a sad face. “Do you know what it is about you that I hate? I hate that you’re saying sorry to me!”
I quickly ducked my head because I didn’t know what to say. “I apologize!”
She laughed as she walked slowly toward me, and we were almost right next to each other. “You feel bad? Once more!”
“I–I am…..”
Before I could finish what I was saying, she hit me in the face with a slap. The trays I was holding fell to the ground, and the wine glasses broke into bits.
My eyes got bigger because I knew I was going to die! The Luna was going to hurt me so much that my b*dy would hurt for the rest of my life. When I looked at her, I saw a flash of anger in her eyes.
I quickly got down on my knees and started picking up the pieces of glass that were all over the ground.
“I’m so sorry, please keep the party going,” I said out loud for everyone to hear, even though tears were pressing against the back of my eyes.

Chapter 3
I was going to stand up, but Penelope and her followers pushed me down on purpose. I fell flat on my face as the glass bits in my hands cut into my palms.
“Arrgh.” I moaned and winced at the same time.
When I lifted my head, I could see how many people were looking at me. All of them looked at me with eyes full of hopelessness, and none of them felt sorry for me. It seemed more like they didn’t like me because I had ruined their party.
“I am sorry!” I whimpered, especially when Luna made the ‘You are dead‘ sign.
I looked at the pieces of glass that were stuck in my hand and, despite the pain I was feeling at the time, I felt powerless and had to keep saying I was
sorry.
All of a sudden, I heard a voice. Everyone stopped talking and turned to see where the voice was coming from.
When I saw who it was, my eyes widened.
“I saw everything that happened. Why are you sorry?” Ethan roared, and his ice–blue eyes burned with anger.
Shane and Hayden were right behind him.
