Chapter 10 His Desire
“Mr. Stanley…” Coleen’s voice faltered as she sensed his hard piece down there. The way Stanley gazed at her added to her fear. They were at Starry Estate, his turf. If Stanley wanted to do something to her, Coleen would have no strength to fight back. This was a significant disadvantage for her. Stanley stared at his prey, his eyes glinting with pa*sion. Just as Coleen thought she was in serious trouble, a servant’s voice came from outside the door. “Mr. Stanley, Ms. Cooper is here.” Stanley frowned. After a moment, he released Coleen and spoke with a cold tone to the person outside, “Tell her I will be there in a moment.” The servant took the order and left. Stanley fixed his gaze on Coleen and said, “My room is a forbidden area in Peace House. Except for Aline, no one should come in without my permission.” “I’m sorry,” Coleen apologized and retreated to the door. “I will give the notebook to Xander. You can go back to your room now.” Coleen hurried out of Stanley’s room, almost running. Stanley walked up to the desk and opened the notebook. The next moment, he smiled as he was impressed by her handwriting. Back in her room, Coleen immediately locked the door to ensure no one could come in. She sat down by the door, hugging herself tight. It took a long time before she calmed down. The next day, a car arranged by Aline took Coleen to the Glandour Club, a private club recently opened by Stanley. The club manager personally came down to welcome Coleen and provided her with an overview of the club. The club had three floors, with over 60 rooms, including 25 standard and 25 mid-range rooms, as well as 10 high-end rooms. The membership levels were based on the member’s a*sets: regular members had a*sets exceeding two million dollars, VIP members exceeded 20 million, and VVIP members had a*sets over 300 million. There were over 300 employees, and the Public Relations Department had 30 staff members, each with a bachelor’s or higher degree and proficiency in at least three languages. They worked in three different membership zones. Coleen, as the new head, had expected some resistance, but to her surprise, none of her staff displayed any dissatisfaction. Faced with their support, Coleen told herself to work hard so that she would deserve their respect. Most importantly, she didn’t want anyone to think that Stanley had poor judgment. On her first day at work, Coleen had memorized the department’s rules and regulations and carefully read the profiles of every customer of the club. She was convinced that this information was essential. After 8 p.m., the club became busy. Coleen had been making rounds in the club for the third time and was about to return to her office for a quick break. However, just as she turned a corner, the door of a VIP private room opened, and a tall, handsome young man walked out. The man caught sight of Coleen and immediately stood in her way. He spoke in a playful tone, his eyes cold, “Well, isn’t this Ms. Hurst?” Coleen looked up at him and was nervous. This man was Lynch Chad, the founder of the Chad Group. A few years ago, when his company had just started, Chad had talked to Coleen’s parents about marrying her, but Coleen had rejected him harshly due to her unwavering loyalty to Lyndon. Running into Chad here now was undeniably awkward. Chad grabbed her wrist and pushed her against the wall. “Long time no see.”
