Pearl hesitated, unsure if she should answer the call.
Raymond leaned closer. “Go ahead. You did all this just to see how Richard would react,
right?”
He was right, so Pearl decided to answer the call.

However, the voice on the other end wasn’t Richard’s.
“I suggest you not waste your time, Pearl.” Jenny’s voice had a mocking tone. “I’ve seen your posts. By the way, you guessed right. I was using Richard’s phone to ch*ck them out.”
Pearl’s expression turned dejected, and her eyes lost their sparkle. “So? What are you trying to say?”
Jenny suddenly laughed, a short, unpleasant laugh, and there was something odd about it. “I just wanted to tell you not to waste your time. Richard didn’t even bother to look at your photos. If it weren’t for me, no one would have paid any attention to your posts
“Furthermore, right after breaking up with Richard, you quickly got involved with someone else. Richard is probably disgusted. Do you think he’d bother calling to ask why you’re with another man?”
Although Jenny’s words were unpleasant, they reflected the harsh reality Pearl was facing.
Suddenly, Pearl heard the sound of running water in the background. Before she could make sense of it, Jenny sounded surprised, “Richard, haven’t you finished washing?”
Pearl’s heart tightened.
Then Richard’s voice came through. “In a moment.”
Pearl’s heart sank. She took a deep breath and said, “If there’s nothing else, I won’t bother you guys.”
“Good to know. Don’t embarrass yourself in front of us,” Jenny’s voice was filled with newfound pride, the first time she had been so domineering in front of Pearl, who remained silent.
But Jenny’s satisfaction didn’t last long. Pearl’s voice chimed in again. “Hey, do you know why I haven’t slept with Richard despite being together for so long?”
“He must be disgusted by you.” Hearing this, Jenny couldn’t be happier. Richard and Pearl had never been intimate. This was a small victory for her!
“Of course not, it’s because…” Pearl lowered her voice. “Richard is impotent!”
“Pfft- Raymond nearly choked on his saliva!
“What the hell are you talking about?” Jenny scolded Pearl, but deep down, she was somewhat skeptical
“Ask Richard, and you’ll know if I’m making it up. However, he’s sensitive about this and cares about his reputation. You need to be extremely careful when asking. Remember, if he gets angry, it’s pretty much confirmed. Don’t push too hard, just find a way to make up for it.”
Jenny snorted dismissively, “Mind your own business.” Then she hung up.
But Pearl knew that Jenny had taken it to heart.
On the other side, Jenny cautiously asked Richard after he came out of the shower, “Richard, I want to ask you something.”
Richard had just gone through a breakup and wasn’t in the best mood, but he still replied in a low voice, “What is it?”
“Are you… not very good in that aspect?”
Richard frowned. “Which aspect?”
