Pearl’s eyes turned icy. “You got someone to do this? Hugo, give it back to me.”

Why would I return something I have in my possession?” Hugo’s attitude was far from gracious, and the earlier humiliation seemed to have intensified his irritation. “It just so happened that I returned home and crossed paths with the delivery person.
