Chapter 53 Be Angry With Her
Cordelia didn’t know what Elijah was talking about, but she could feel the anger that he had been trying to hold back.
“What do you want? Or, what do you want me to do?” Cordelia frowned.
Elijah stared at her more coldly and let out a sneer. “Forget it. It’s meaningless.”
He thought Cordelia was ungrateful.
That night, Elijah went home and fell asleep after taking a shower.
Cordelia had been worried all night. After getting up in the morning, she immediately went outside and called Imogen.
“It’s so early. Cordelia, what’s the matter?”
Hearing Imogen’s calm tone, Cordelia breathed a sigh of relief.
“I’m so worried about you. Did you have a fight with Ben last night?” Cordelia said worriedly.
Looking at the messy bedroom, Imogen said helplessly, “I’m fine. Cordelia, bring me a pill when you come. I really don’t have the energy to go out and buy it.”
Cordelia was speechless.
After hanging up the phone, she turned around and bumped into Elijah’s arms.
She felt bitter, and her tears almost fell down.
“When… When did you stand behind me? Why didn’t you make
a sound?” Cordelia rubbed her nose and looked at him with
tears in her eyes.
Elijah looked down at her. His deep eyes concealed complicated
emotions.
“Who are you calling early in the morning? You didn’t even know I was coming.”
“It’s Imogen.” Cordelia pushed him away and hurriedly went to wash up. She didn’t even have breakfast and went out.
Elijah was sitting at the dining table with an ice-cold face.
His phone rang at this moment. He glanced at the incoming call and picked it up.
“Elijah, I was very anxious last night and didn’t sleep well all night. Can you go out with me today?”
Elijah said coldly, “There is a general meeting of shareholders today.”
“I see. Alright…” Eva was obviously disappointed.
“I’ll go to you at night,” Elijah added.
When Cordelia rushed to Imogen’s apartment, she was taken
aback.
The small room was even messier than yesterday.
On the sofa and the carpet scattered Ben’s shirt and trousers and the nightdress Imogen wore yesterday.
It could be seen they had crazy S** in the living room.
This morning, Ben put on new clothes and left, leaving the clothes for yesterday in her apartment.
Imogen looked wretched, and Cordelia couldn’t bear to see her.
Her neck and the other part of her b*dy were full of marks.
“Damn. Ben is totally a jacka*s!” Cordelia was indignant.
Imogen leaned against the door frame of the bedroom and smiled wryly. “It’s okay, Cordelia. I’m used to it. That bastard has always been like this.”
Cordelia tried to calm down and quickly took out the pill and handed it to Imogen. “Don’t take the pill too often. It’s not good for your b*dy.”
“It was an accident last night. I didn’t expect him to come to me,” Imogen said with a wry smile.
While speaking, she turned on the phone and was stunned for a
moment.
“Crap. Cordelia, the cartoon music you practiced with the violin yesterday makes a hit. It got twenty thousand likes in one night, and it’s still rising,” Imogen said excitedly.
Cordelia was startled. She only asked, “Have you blurred my face?”
“Don’t worry. I didn’t film your face!” Imogen was thrilled. “Although I’m lucky in love, I’m lucky in my career!”
Cordelia stroked Imogen’s head with distress and opened her
social software.
She saw Eva just sent a post.
[So happy. I can have a good sleep tonight!]
More importantly, Cordelia saw Elijah’s account among the few
likes.
