Chapter 44 You Are Not Allowed to Leave
Coming out of the bathroom at night, Cordelia bumped into a hug that smelled of alcohol.
A man’s low voice came from above her head. “Babe, I miss you so much.”
Cordelia counted the days and guessed that the man might be hungry for S**, so she said, “I’m on my period.”
Elijah was taken aback, then chuckled, “Little fool.”
This doting tone made her feel dazed for a while.
He was realistic and heartless.
Cordelia pushed him away coldly and said, “Go and take a bath!”
So, the man obediently went to take a bath.
Soon, finishing showering, Elijah turned off the light and went to sleep. And unexpectedly, he did not mention Eva’s medical treatment.
