Chapter 37 Not Necessary
Janice was so frightened that she lost her wits. Just now, she put her foot in her mouth when she revealed the secret.
She swore in front of her mother that she could not tell anyone this secret. In exchange, Cordelia married into the Hansen family, and she and the Deleon family were the direct beneficiaries.
“Elijah, I was angered by Cordelia and talked nonsense. Don’t take it to heart,” Janice explained anxiously.
Cordelia looked at Janice indifferently. It was fine if she didn’t explain, but what she said made it.

nonsense.
Elijah looked at Janice and then at Mae with cold eyes. No one knew what he was thinking. He didn’t say anything.
“I have apologized to Cordelia as you asked. Can we go?”
Janice could hardly breathe and looked at Elijah nervously.
Mae was also frightened by Elijah’s aura just now. Now, she shrank beside Janice, not daring to say
a word.
Elijah glanced at Cordelia. Her face was pale. It seemed that she didn’t want to talk to Janice and Mae, so he waved to them. “You can go.”
Janice breathed a sigh of relief and dragged Mae away.
Elijah walked over to Cordelia, put his arm around her shoulders, and walked back with her in his
arms.
After entering the door, changing shoes, and taking off his coat, Elijah went upstairs without questioning Cordelia.
But Cordelia couldn’t let it go.
After all, this matter involved her grandma, her only relative and the person she cared about most. She didn’t want Elijah to misunderstand, even in the slightest.
So she tried to calm herself down and went upstairs to the study.
“Elijah, I want to explain to you what happened just now.”
“It’s not necessary.” Elijah looked down at the document without raising his head. “It’s not a big
Cordelia frowned. “My mother talked nonsense.”
Elijah put down his pen, leaned back in his chair, and looked at her indifferently. “Since she talked nonsense, you don’t need to explain it, do you?”
Cordelia staggered. She became more embarra*sed. She felt that Elijah didn’t believe her.
That being the case, she had nothing to say.
“You’re right.” Cordelia smiled bitterly, turned around, and left in panic.
Elijah frowned, ignored her, and continued to work with his head down until late at night.
Around 11 o’clock, Cordelia heard that Elijah had left.
She was worried all night. At that moment, she got the answer.
Elijah gave her the answer with what he did.
After turning off the light, Cordelia tossed and turned and gradually fell asleep.
At noon the next day, Cordelia wanted to ask Elijah if he would go home for dinner, but she couldn’t get through.
So she sent a message to Elijah but failed.
Seeing the red exclamation mark, Cordelia was stunned.
Just then, Milo called her. She immediately calmed herself down, smiled, and greeted Milo.
“Cordelia, how are you doing recently? Does Elijah treat you well?”
Cordelia’s nose twitched. She didn’t know how to answer Milo.
However, it was this short pause that made Milo feel something acutely.
“Did he bully you?” Milo’s tone suddenly became serious.
“No, Milo. I’m fine.” Cordelia smiled wryly.
Milo snorted coldly, “Really? I heard he looked for famous doctors to treat a woman’s legs. Is there such a thing?”
