Chapter 27 With Pleasure
Cordelia looked out the window coldly. This man was going to leave her on the highway!
She unbuckled her seat belt without hesitation. “With pleasure!”
Slamming the car door, Cordelia, who had always been polite. and gentle, gave him an impolite gesture.
“What a nut case!” She cursed silently.
Elijah drove away quickly.
Standing in the middle of the highway, Cordelia couldn’t help but shudder in the strong gust.
But she was extremely sober and calm.
She called Imogen and asked her to pick her up.
Afterward, she just looked at the cars whizzing by with a calm. face.
Imogen arrived forty minutes later.
Cordelia got in the car but still couldn’t shake off the coldness, no matter how warm it was inside.
“Cordelia, what are you doing here?”
Cordelia looked out the window in embarra*sment. “Elijah left
f**k! How could he do this?” Imogen was stunned. How could Elijah be so mean to Cordelia?
Sure enough, men were all bad!
Cordelia said calmly, “Elijah is not a good man. I shouldn’t have fallen for him in the first place.”
Imogen glanced at Cordelia worriedly and comforted her.
“We’ve all been young once. Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
She also made a mistake by falling in love with that bastard Ben back then.
Cordelia didn’t reply. Imogen asked again, “What are you going to do next?”
“I will divorce him. If he disagrees with me, I’ll seek help from his grandfather.”
Indeed, Elijah’s grandfather had been upset with Cordelia for a long time because she couldn’t get pregnant.
“You must think it through. In that case, you will definitely alarm your family, and then it will become a matter of two families, not just you two.”

Cordelia had a fever after she returned home.
She heard the phone ringing, but it was on the coffee table in the living room, and she didn’t want to get it.
It finally stopped ringing. Perhaps the battery was flat.
When Cordelia was sleeping, she felt a cold hand touching her forehead.
She instinctively took the hand.
She held it tightly when she sensed the person was trying to withdraw the hand.
Later, she simply put the hand in her arms while murmuring something in her mouth.
Suddenly, Cordelia felt something cool on her l*ps. Someone was k*ssing her, and she instinctively k*ssed back.
Gradually, she felt a cool b*dy pressing against her. It felt so good…
Cordelia felt better the next morning when she woke up, but she still took a day off.
Recalling the dream last night, she couldn’t help but blush.
She didn’t know why she dreamed of being with Elijah…
Anyway, it was a wild night, making her sweat all
over.
She didn’t even dare to recall the details of the dream. That would only make her blush.
Suddenly, her phone rang, and it was Imogen.
Cordelia picked up her phone from the nightstand and answered the call, “Oh, Cordelia. I’m glad you answered my call finally. I’ve been trying to reach you all night last night.”
“I took antipyretics last night, so I slept carly. I’m sorry,” Cordelia said apologetically.
Imogen said meaningfully, “I see.”
Cordelia felt she was being weird but didn’t ask.
At this time, the doorbell rang.
Cordelia hung up the phone in a hurry and went to open the door. She was surprised to see Elijah’s face through the peephole.
What was he doing here in the early morning?
