Chapter 214 Always Blocked
Early the next morning, Cordelia received a call from Eason.
“Cordelia, I’m right below your place.”
Cordelia was stunned.
“Eason, when did you come back?”
When they talked on the phone at noon yesterday, Eason was still inspecting the herb plantation in a small village near the mountains. He didn’t mention the matter of coming back at that time!
“I just came back. I’ll accompany you to Mr. Watts’ house.”
As she listened to Eason’s calm words without any emotional fluctuations, Cordelia was filled with gratitude.
At the same time, it also made her feel a little uneasy.
Eason was so good to her that it made her really terrified.
However, Cordelia had to focus on the immediate matter at hand and didn’t have time to think about it.
She tidied up briefly, then went downstairs with the medicine box on her back.
When she saw Eason, he was sitting in the car with his eyes closed.

Cordelia was taken aback, and she looked out of the car window, only to see Elijah standing under the rising sun with two sets of breakfasts.
She quickly got out of the car again and walked towards him.
“Why are you here?” Cordelia asked casually.
“I wanted to have breakfast with you, but you’re going out?” Elijah smiled with the same expression as usual.
“Yeah, I’m going to the doctor. You…”
Before Cordelia finished speaking, Elijah had already stuffed two sets of breakfasts into Cordelia’s hands. He said, “Then eat some on the way and give the other set to Eason.”
Cordelia’s gaze was filled with puzzlement for a moment, and then she couldn’t help laughing.

Hence, Elijah watched as Cordelia and Eason got further and further away.
Eason, who had kept his eyes closed all this while, slowly opened his eyes and glanced at Elijah from the rearview mirror.
“Elijah has changed a lot recently,” he said truthfully.
“Eason, have this,” Cordelia said as she gave Eason one of the two identical sets of breakfasts.
Eason didn’t have much of an appetite, but he still ate some out of courtesy.
He occasionally glanced sideways at the peaceful look on Cordelia’s face, but his heart was empty.
At this moment, he actually somewhat regretted being a good
person.
Before the car arrived at the Watts Mansion, Cordelia finished her breakfast and began to tidy up her appearance.
Eason said, “Don’t be nervous, just concentrate on treating Mr. Watts, and leave the rest to me.”
“Okay.”
The two walked into the Watts Mansion together, where the butler received them.
The butler led them to the living room to wait.
Soon after, Liam walked downstairs slowly with the support of his granddaughter.
The cane in his hand was shining brightly, and he was dressed in a purple suit, which looked very luxurious.
“Cordelia? What are you doing at my grandfather’s house?”
Suddenly, a high-pitched voice broke the tranquility of the entire living room. Liam, the housekeeper, and all the servants looked at Cordelia.
Cordelia didn’t speak. In fact, when she saw Daisy, she was already irritated and wanted to leave immediately.
Eason said in a deep voice, “Mr. Watts, this is Evie Carter, Milo Carter’s apprentice.”

He smiled lightly and greeted Eason, “Eason, are you sure that this young lady is the apprentice Milo told me about? She’s pretty young, isn’t she?”
