“Eason, you have been in Beilve City for a while. Do you know an old gentleman with the last name Watts? Milo said that their family started their business by reselling clothes.”
Eason paused, and said, “I know. They can be regarded as a second-rate family in Beilve City.”
“Milo wants me to treat this old gentleman. I understand Milo’s
intentions but…”
Understanding what her concerns were, Eason said seriously, “Or I could go with you.”
Cordelia smiled gratefully.
With Eason helping her socialize, she could naturally
concentrate on treating the patient, but she understood that Eason was still busy with other affairs abroad at the moment.
“Thank you, Eason. I’ll think about it! If I need your help, I’ll contact you in advance.”
After hanging up the phone, Cordelia saw the message from Elijah.
Elijah sent the message: [I called you, but I didn’t get through.]

Cordelia felt that Elijah was more clingy than ever in all her years knowing him.
Hence, she brought her mobile phone into the bathroom and took a bath in her little bathtub.
After a while, her phone rang again.
Cordelia was so comfortable that she was close to dozing off. Hence, her voice was soft and gentle when she answered the phone.
After a while of silence, the man said in a gentle tone, “Cordie, get on a video call with me right now.”
“No, I’m taking a shower right now. How about later?” Cordelia said.
Just do it now.
Cordelia was speechless.
Elijah laughed immediately and said, “I’m kidding. Go wash up. I’ll wait for you.”
“Have you showered?” Cordelia regretted asking that question as soon as she did.
“What am I showing him concern for? I even asked such a suggestive question…” She thought.
“I showered a long time ago. I’ll wait for you,” Elijah said while chuckling.
Cordelia blushed, and said quickly, “Okay, let’s hang up now. I’ll give you a video call later.”
After speaking, she quickly hung up the phone and clutched her heart again as she said to herself, “What’s wrong with you? Can you stop acting like you have never seen the world? What are you being nervous about?”
After getting out of the bathtub, she stood under the faucet and took a cold shower to calm herself down.
After drying her hair, Cordelia leaned on the bed, and then gave Elijah a video call.
However, she couldn’t figure out why he wanted to have a video call with her.
