Chapter 209 It Must Be Her
Cordelia’s l*ps curled into a confident smile as she spoke.
Elijah was stunned. Then, he rushed forward, holding her hand tightly. “Are you hurt? Is your hand okay?”
“I’m fine.” Cordelia was surprised but remained calm. She said, “Elijah, I guess now you can understand why I want to stay away from you as far as possible.”
Elijah’s expression became gloomy. He certainly understood why.

So, Elijah looked at Daisy sullenly and said, “Whoever promised to be engaged to your family will be your fiancé. I’ll make things clear for you today!”

However, before she could refuse, Elijah said loudly, “My girlfriend, fiancée, wife, and the mother of my future child can only be Cordelia. You’d better stop thinking about it!”

“If you think I won’t dare, then you’re welcome to try. Let’s see if I can make your family disappear!” Elijah said without hesitation.
Then, he didn’t say anything else and left the club while holding Cordelia.
Daisy watched them leave. Elijah was holding Cordelia
cautiously, preventing her from getting hurt. Seeing this, Daisy gritted her teeth in hatred.
She turned around fiercely, but her anger quickly turned to shock.
Not far away, the group of socialites who had surrounded her earlier was huddled in a corner of the corridor. Daisy had not idea how long they had been there.
Maybe, they saw everything that had happened just now.
At that moment, Daisy felt extremely humiliated. Her reputation in Beilve City’s high society which she had tried so hard to build after returning from abroad had crumbled to dust.
“Cordelia! Why didn’t you die in that car accident? I’ll kill you sooner or later!” Daisy secretly cursed Cordelia ferociously.
Cordelia and Elijah arrived at the underground parking lot.
It was late at night, and the echoes of their footsteps sounded in the deserted parking area.
“Why, Elijah?”
Cordelia gazed down and asked softly.
She didn’t know why Elijah insisted that his wife must be her. Was it because he liked her?
