Chapter 195 Jealousy
“Wren…” Cordelia helplessly looked at her, clearly wanting her
to stop talking. “Mr. Holland is my friend.”
Wren smiled with an expression that showed that she knew everything, and she said nothing more.
Cordelia ignored the meaningful smile on Wren’s face and followed Eason out of the pharmacy.
“Did Elijah come?” Eason casually asked.
“Yes, he came yesterday and left at noon today. It seems like he sneaked out this time,” Cordelia helplessly chuckled as if talking about a naughty child.
“Cordelia, what’s your attitude towards Elijah now?” Eason suddenly asked.
Cordelia glanced at Eason suspiciously, feeling that he was different today compared to usual.
In the past, Eason rarely cared about her personal matters.
After thinking for a moment, Cordelia carefully replied, “He said he wants to pursue me again, and his attitude is quite firm. He didn’t listen when I rejected him and even followed me here.”
From Cordelia’s tone when mentioning Elijah, Eason could
sense that she still had feelings for Elijah.
“Adam guessed it right.” Eason self-mockingly smiled, laughing at his meekness and naivety.
“Huh? What did Adam say?” Cordelia was puzzled.
“Adam said that Elijah won’t give up on pursuing you.” Eason stared at Cordelia, considering his words carefully. “Or, you can consider finding a boyfriend and let Elijah back off.”
Cordelia shook her head, and her emotions instantly became low. “Eason, as a divorced woman, it wouldn’t be fair to anyone I’m with.”
And she didn’t want to settle for a man who had also
experienced divorce. She didn’t want to get tangled up in the complications of ex-husbands and current boyfriends, affecting her peaceful life.
So, she wanted to live alone.
“A man who truly loves you won’t care about your past,” Eason said solemnly.
Cordelia forced a bitter smile and shook her head. “Eason, it’s not just about my past. I can no longer have children!”
Eason froze.
Previously, although he had heard about this matter, he thought that with Milo’s medical skills, perhaps there could be a
miraculous recovery.
However, now it seemed that this trauma had indeed caused irreversible damage to Cordelia.

“Cordelia, don’t worry. I won’t let anyone involved in this matter get away!” It included Elijah!

While the two were having dinner, Elijah called.
He had sent a message to Cordelia when he landed, and she told him he didn’t need to report everything to her.
However, Elijah earnestly sent a voice message, saying, “This is what I should do as your boyfriend. I want to share my life with you.”
Cordelia was busy at the moment and didn’t have time to think much or say much to him.
But now, he was calling.
“I’m having dinner with Eason.” Cordelia meant that she couldn’t chat with him much right now.
Elijah was silent on the other end for a few seconds before saying, “Enjoy your meal. I’ll call you later.”
His tone seemed calm, but in fact, he was very jealous!
