Chapter 130 Eva Needs Me
Cordelia was speechless.
She wanted to ask Ben whether he was mad.
Imogen asked in a low voice, “What’s wrong, Cordelia?”
Ben, on the other end of the phone, seemed to have heard Imogen’s voice and said, “Let Imogen answer the phone.”
Cordelia frowned, raised her head, and shook her head at
Imogen.
Then she turned around and lowered her voice. “Ben, who do you think you are?”
Then she hung up the phone.
It was outrageous!
Seeing that Cordelia seemed to be angrier, Imogen said weakly, “He is bad-tempered. Leave him alone.”
Cordelia gave Imogen a comforting look.
“How dare he negotiate with me? Does he think I have no other choice?”
With that said, Cordelia quickly found Adam’s number and
called him.
“Adam, I want to ch*ck the exact location of a person. Please help me.”
Adam knew Eva. Cordelia asked him to investigate Eva back then.
Twenty minutes later, Adam sent Cordelia an address.
Imogen looked over at the address and said, “Oh my, it is very generous of Elijah to let her live in the mansion on Aramore Road.”
Cordelia smiled mockingly. “After all, she is his savior’s sister. He wishes he could give his life to Eva.”
“Even if it’s a life-saving grace, isn’t there a time to repay the kindness?” Imogen disapproved.
Cordelia didn’t speak.
Everyone’s ideas and practices might be different when it came to this thing.
If it were Cordelia, she would follow her savior’s entrustment, but it depended.
After all, she was married and should keep a distance from other men. So she wouldn’t do everything by herself.
But Elijah didn’t take this arranged marriage seriously and
contacted other girls as he wished.
He didn’t like Cordelia. That was why.
“Let’s go and find him.” Cordelia took a deep breath and said, “I’m not as generous as before.”
“That’s right! You used to indulge him too much and always made yourself suffer,” Imogen said distressedly.
“Yeah. When I liked him, I was stupid. I always made reasons for him and forced myself to be sensible. I was too young and stupid.”
Cordelia’s eyes were moist.
Imogen knew Cordelia very well.
Everyone would be trapped in love several times.
They had to suffer some losses.
With a lot of experience, they would learn to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages.
The car stopped at the entrance of the villa on Aramore Road.
Elijah came out after hearing the doorbell.
Cordelia saw Elijah from a distance.
His tie was loosely around his neck, and his shirt was
unbuttoned, with some dark red blood stains on it, which made him look a little sorry.
“Cordelia?” When Elijah saw the two women standing in the night, a look of light flashed in his eyes. “Why are you here?”
“I couldn’t get through to you, so I had to come to find you in person,” Cordelia said with a blank expression. “I feel very uncomfortable and want to go home.”
Elijah stepped forward and held her by the shoulder. “My phone broke. Eva needs me. I will find you a room, and you take a rest first.”
“I said, I want to go home!” Cordelia said.
Elijah frowned and said, “I can’t leave now.”
