Chapter 14 Who’s This Sl ut?
Natalie felt as though she had been enchanted upon hearing Lance’s deep voice.
Their proximity made her tense up, distracting her momentarily. However, the insistent knocking on the door shattered her reverie.
As Natalie turned to go to the door, Lance grasped her shoulder.
With a slight pull, a strap of her dress snapped off.
“Now, you may go,” Lance commanded in a rough tone.
Natalie was too furious to speak.
What a despicable man!
As the door swung open, a young and beautiful woman stood on the other side.
“Lan…” Lance’s fiancée, Debby Colt, had been expecting Lance. She paused mid-sentence in astonishment upon seeing another woman at the door.
At the sight of Natalie’s disheveled appearance, Debby’s countenance darkened even more.
“Who are you? Why are you in my fiancé’s room?”
Natalie remained silent.
She looked at Debby and casually wiped her l*ps.
Natalie’s l*ps were still rosy, but her l*pstick had smudged. At a glance, Debby knew that she had been k*ssing someone.
“Lance, who is this woman?” Debby brushed past Natalie and stormed towards Lance.
Lance was seated at the counter, sipping wine.
Although Debby had arrived, he didn’t bother to look at her. Instead, he turned to Natalie and gestured towards Debby, saying, “This is my fiancée, Debby Colt. You’ve met her before.”
Naturally, Natalie remembered Debby. A month ago, when she had awakened in this room, Debby had slapped her without any reason.
It had been one of the darkest days in Natalie’s life.
That day had been fraught with too many events. Natalie hadn’t spared a thought for the two women barging in to catch an illicit affair.
But now, having met Debby again, Natalie couldn’t simply evade the situation. She chose to confront Debby and seek justice for herself.
After locking eyes with Lance, Debby looked at Natalie and recognized her. “It’s you?”
After a brief pause, she was certain. “Aren’t you the woman who…”
Debby halted, her gaze sharpening as she stared at Natalie before continuing, “Why are you here? What are you doing in my fiancé’s room? Did you sleep with him again last night?”
Realization dawned on her, causing her eyes to redden with fury. She demanded, “Lance, why did you meet this woman again? Do you miss her? We’re engaged. How could you betray me like this?”
Before Debby could burst into tears, Natalie burst into laughter.
“What’s so funny, you wretch?”
Debby spun around, fixing Natalie with a fiery gaze, as if she wanted to tear Natalie’s smirking face to shreds.
Lance was her fiancé. She hadn’t slept with him yet, but Natalie had been with him on at least two occasions.
Maybe more than twice.
Natalie’s l*ps were swollen and crimson, and one strap of her dress hung loosely from her arm. It stoked the fires of jealousy in Debby’s heart.
Natalie was evidently promiscuous. Who knew how many men she had enticed?
Now, Debby regretted ever encountering Natalie…
“Ms. Colt, that morning when you stormed in to catch your fiancé red-handed, you threatened to call off the engagement. It’s only been a month. Why the change of heart?” Natalie inquired.
“That’s between my fiancé and me. None of your concern!” Debby snapped, her teeth gritted.
Natalie nonchalantly adjusted the strap of her dress and remarked, “You weren’t keen on marrying Mr. Griffith initially, were you?”
