Susan shook her head. “You’re that eager to save Frank?”
“You’ve just come, so there are things you probably wouldn’t know.” Walter sighed. “Frank isn’t all he seems. I might even say that he might help us turn the tide.”
“Hmph.” Susan snorted. “Let’s just hope you’re right about him.”
Meanwhile, Vicky watched Frank from the rearview mirror while riding shotgun, and she asked, “Do you know who their leader was?”
Frank shook his head. “He wore a mask. I didn’t see his face, but I know he’s a member of the Southern Sea’s Spirit Hill Sect.”
“The Spirit Hill Sect? But we have no fight with them.” Vicky frowned–she had never heard of them, so why would they attack her?
“The masked man works for Donald Salazar. Les said so himself,” Frank explained. “Donald also promised Les that he could take over Grande Corp after eliminating you.”
Vicky was left gritting her teeth and balling her fists. “That pig…”
“By the way, who is Obadiah Longman? Why would the Salazars want him dead?” Frank asked in curiosity.
Vicky inhaled deeply. “He’s an apothecary. I’ve invested two billion dollars on him to develop the Beauty Pill. It’s a new pill that nourishes and improves one’s beauty, and it took Mr. Longman five years to complete it.”
Then, rubbing her temples in frustration, Vicky continued, “I didn’t know the Salazars were after it too… It’s most likely Les who leaked Mr. Longman’s location. Now that the Salazars have the recipe, they would soon start to manufacture the Beauty Pill and sell it before anyone else can, securing a monopoly on the market.”
Yara was driving, and she could not help feeling guilty as she had let Vicky down. “I’m sorry, Ms Turnbull. I shouldn’t have handed the recipe over to Les.”
“It’s not your fault,” Vicky waved her off nonchalantly. “No one could have known that we had a traitor in the family. If anything, it’s that bastard’s fault.”
In the backseat, Frank was rubbing his chin in thought for a long while before saying, “It’s obvious we’re not going to be selling Beauty Pills, but what if we had something better and cheaper?”
Vicky shook her head. “That’s impossible–it took Mr. Longman five years to develop the pill, and there’s no telling how long it would take now that we have to start over. Even when we finally do, the Salazars‘ business would be deeply entrenched in Riverton.”
Frank said, “I actually have a recipe myself, which helps with both beautification and strengthening a person’s cultivation. It’s quite cheap, and it can be mass produced as long as the ingredients are gathered beforehand.”
Vicky wheeled on him right then. “For real?!”

“Yeah…” Vicky nodded repeatedly as she took it out of her bag. Once she passed it to Frank, he rapidly wrote down the recipe…
