Chapter 468 The Last Straw
Now that the matter had already been exposed, there was no point in denying it anymore.
Suddenly, several loud smacking sounds were heard.
Caspian had slapped Matteo across the face several times.
“You’re gutsy, huh? You must be held accountable for the counterfeit goods! You’ll be the one to bear the losses of Southlake Corporation!” Caspian said.
He then looked toward Sylvia and asked, “How badly were we impacted by the mass imitation scheme?”
“Due to the counterfeit goods, our losses came up to a whopping five billion dollars!” Sylvia said.
Matteo was dumbstruck.
Even though their processing factory had been producing counterfeit goods all day and all night, their stocks had only amounted to about 500 to 600 million worth of goods.
Now, Caspian just blatantly claimed that it was five billion instead. This was daylight robbery!
“Mr. Kane, you must pay the price for your actions!” Caspian said coldly.
“Caspian, stop coming after me. I’m not a pushover. I won’t let you have your way either.
“This is my home turf. If you continue pushing my buttons, I’m going to f**king hurt you, and you’d better not cry!” Matteo cursed.
Even though he was afraid of Caspian, it didn’t mean he would just give in without fighting
back.
“Guards, attack him!” Matteo yelled as he signaled them to charge at Caspian.
Hugh led a group of men as they rushed toward Caspian.
They were all clad in work uniforms and were holding various kinds of equipment in their
hands.
“Are you scared now, Caspian? They’re the thugs of our factory! I’m going to make sure you die today!” Matteo said with a smug expression on his face.
Caspian snickered.
These minions weren’t worth his time.
Matteo must have lost his mind. How could he think of challenging Caspian?

Sylvia took big strides toward the men while staring them dead in the eyes.
She rushed out without hesitation.
“Catch that bitch! Teach her a f**king lesson!” Matteo shouted.

“Let’s go! Attack!”
Hugh and the other men had Sylvia surrounded.
What happened next made Matteo dumbfounded.
Sylvia was quick and precise with her attacks.
After a few swings and kicks, Hugh and the others were already on the ground.
“How’s this possible?” Matteo questioned as he stared at Sylvia. He couldn’t comprehend it.
“What a bunch of losers. I can’t believe you have the audacity to even taunt us,” Sylvia said as she returned to Caspian’s side.
“Are you ready to have a civil conversation now, Mr. Kane?” Caspian asked the stunned Matteo.
“What do you want, Caspian?” Matteo asked through gritted teeth.
He knew Caspian had something sinister in mind.
“I’m glad you asked. All you have to do is give me the factory,” Caspian said before Sylvia tossed a folder to Matteo.
He picked the folder up and saw that it was an agreement of transfer for the factory.
“You want our factory?” Matteo asked, baffled at his request.
“That’s right. All you have to do is give me the factory, and I’ll just pretend that none of this ever happened,” Caspian said with a grin.
“In your dreams, Caspian! I’ll never give it to you! Not in a million years!” Matteo yelled.
After losing Enies, the factory became the means of livelihood for the Kane family.
The equipment inside the factory was worth more than two billion dollars.
If they were to give the factory away, the Kane family would lose its income.
“You don’t want to?” Caspian asked coldly.

“Sylvia, teach him a lesson,” he continued

More than ten minutes later, Matteo was lying on the ground in a miserable state.
“Do you finally understand now, Matteo? Caspian marked as he looked at Matteo,

His arm was broken several times
“This factory isn’t mine. Unless my father agrees, I won’t be able to give it to you even if i Want to,” Matteo said with a dejected look on his face as he lay on the ground.
“Call your father and have him do the transfer,” Caspian said calmly.
Matteo didn’t dare to retaliate anymore.
There might be crueler punishments waiting for him if he didn’t comply with Caspian’s
demands
Without any other choice, Matteo could only call his father.
Meanwhile, inside Kane Residence, Chandler was lying on the bed with an ashen face.
He had been bedridden ever since the Kane family lost their territory in Enies.
Even though he had recovered a little, his health was no longer the same.
“Boris!” Chandler shouted.
Boris ran over in a panic and asked, “What’s the matter, Mr. Kane Senior?”
“Where’s Matteo? He’s been away from home all day. Where has he gone to?” Chandler asked,
irritated.
“He’s…” Boris said hesitantly, avoiding Chandler’s gaze.
“Say it!” Chandler shouted. Judging from Boris’s expression, he knew that Chandler was up to
“Matteo’s been outside the entire time,” Boris replied.

“That useless bastard! Have him come home immediately! We’re already hanging by a thread, and he’s still out there fooling around!”
The Kane family was currently in a precarious situation. They kept losing their territories. Their estates in Dhord City were no longer like it was before.
It would really be the end for Matteo if he kept going out and getting involved in messy
situations.
“Why? Are you also going to start disobeying me now?” Chandler shouted.

go look for him now!” Boris said urgently.
Suddenly, Chandler’s phone started ringing.
It was a call from Matteo.
“Where are you, you useless bastard? Dhord City is in a state of unrest. You’d better come home immediately and not go anywhere!” Chandler berated him.
“Dad, I’m at the processing factory,” Matteo said cautiously.
“What are you doing there? They don’t need you there. Come home now!” Chandler said in a displeased tone.
He knew what kind of person his son was. Matteo was a prodigal son. What could he possibly be doing in the factory?
“I…” Matteo uttered hesitantly as if he wanted to say something else.
Then, another voice was heard on the other end of the phone.
“Mr. Kane Senior, your son is never going back!”
“Caspian!”
When Chandler heard this voice, his expression went frigid.
He knew this was Caspian’s voice.
“Ah, I’m honored that you still haven’t forgotten about me!” Caspian said smugly.
“What more do you want, Caspian? Why are you going after my son?” Chandler asked irritably.
Caspian’s call was like a bad omen. Something must have happened.
“I have no other choice, Mr. Kane Senior! Our previous dispute has all been resolved. However,
I caught your son manufacturing counterfeit copies of Southlake Corporation’s products.

“Because of this, our company had suffered enormous losses. I’m here today to sort it out with him. Why don’t you make a trip over here, Mr. Kane Senior? I’m worried that something. might happen to your son!” Caspian taunted with a feigned tone of concern.
When Chandler heard this, he became anxious and angry.
This useless son of his always loved stirring up trouble.
Did he not learn from the previous lesson?
Why did he have to go and offend Caspian again?
“Don’t do anything to my son, Caspian. I’ll head over now,” Chandler said urgently.
