Caspian was not surprised to hear this.
He knew about the matters regarding Shadow Gate

After hearing Sylvia’s report, Caspian rose from his seat.

Gilbert did not respond. His top priority was to obtain the Eldorian Scroll fragment before moving on to other agendas.

He was trying to taunt them into action.
