“Damn it! All of them are damn bastards! They infuriated me!”
Lionel smashed everything in the room as he couldn’t contain his anger.
“Grandpa, what happened? Did Aunt Kate not help us?” Jessica asked, a little terrified.
“She’s got nothing to do with the Massey family anymore! Damn it! I asked her to buy us some time, but she was afraid and even wanted to take over the family’s power! Why do I have a daughter like her?” Lionel fumed.
It was fine that Kate didn’t help the family, but to scheme against them was beyond reason.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.
At those words, Jessica paused.
The family’s influence should rightfully fall into her hands. It has nothing to do with Kate anymore, especially since she was married and no longer part of the Massey family.
Was Kate really trying to compete for the family’s wealth? Jessica couldn’t allow it.
Lionel took a deep breath and said calmly, “Alright, forget about her. How is the progress of the thing I asked you to do?”
He didn’t bother with Kate anymore. She was obsessed with money, devoid of any familial connection, and not worth the trouble.
The priority now was to help the Massey family through this crisis. If they took no action, their downfall would be certain.
“Grandpa! It’s done! I’ve spent billions and recruited 300 mercenaries, who all are tough fighters and ruthless individuals. Taking down the Copeland family won’t be a problem!! Jessica said with a serious expression.
She wished she could personally slaughter that jerk, Kevin.
He betrayed her and the Massey family!
Jessica wouldn’t let him off easily. She intended to make Kevin kneel before her and apologize to her, then torment him before killing him!

As he finished speaking, he vanished into the darkness.

The Copeland family was considered a second–tier prestigious family in Southlake City.
Inside the manor, Patrick and Kevin were staring at each other in silence..
After a long while, Patrick finally said, “Son, can our family survive this crisis?”
Upon knowing that Kevin killed Saul, Patrick couldn’t believe it. He didn’t know when his son had the audacity to do such actions.
But he understood why Kevin did it after knowing the circumstances.
“Don’t worry. Caspian isn’t the kind of person who breaks his promises.” Kevin smiled.
He believed Caspian would trust them.
However, they would have to pay a hefty price to compensate those affected by the trouble.
At the thought of this, Patrick felt his heart ache.
“Dad, even if we had all the money in the world, it would be no use if we didn’t survive. There’s a chance for a comeback as long as we can stand our ground.” Kevin smiled.
As long as they survived, there was hope.
“Is there really a chance?” Patrick asked doubtfully.
“Of course. Now that Saul is gone, Lionel is hiding in the elderly home all day. Besides, the Massey family is lost. If we’re able to take them down, we will be one of the elite families in Southlake City!” Kevin laughed aloud.

When disaster struck, a husband and wife should save themselves first.
Besides, there wasn’t much affection between Kevin and Jessica.
Without her, he could easily find a younger and prettier woman.

Patrick felt uneasy. Ever since Kevin murdered Saul, his character seemed to have changed and

Would he turn against him one day for the sake of his own interest?
“Are you 100% sure?” Patrick asked with some concern.
“Don’t worry. The Massey family doesn’t have many experts now. I’ve already spent money to hire some people to annihilate them!” After Kevin finished speaking, he burst into laughter.
In his view, the Massey family was done for.
The Copeland family would undoubtedly rise. All they needed to do now was expand their forces, and he’d be the first to deal with the Massey family,

“Who’s there? Don’t you know this is the Copeland family’s manor? How dare you act
recklessly! Are you seeking death?” Patrick was displeased as he thought someone was causing
them trouble.
The Copeland family members surely wouldn’t enter like that.
“Bad news! Sir, something bad happened!”
The butler, who was covered in blood, rushed into the hall.
“What happened?” Patrick shivered at the sight and had a bad feeling.
“The Massey family has invaded us!” the butler said with all his strength.
He spat out blood and collapsed on the ground before losing consciousness.
