All was silent.
After hearing what Caspian said, everyone was dumbstruck. Moments later, they began to roar with laughter.
“Hahaha! That’s the funniest joke I’ve ever heard!”

“I bet that she’s just a clerk in the branch office at most!”

“I’m Lord Caspian, the Diatoranian God of War,” Caspian solemnly replied.
Everyone was stupefied.
What did Caspian just call himself? The Diatoranian God of War?
What a joke! How could Caspian be Lord Caspian, the powerful figure who conquered battlefields?
They thought he should have chosen a more believable lie.
Willow was also started as well, but she did not make any comments. Since she knew Caspian was a military officer, she thought he was just lying to scare Fritz.
“Hahaha! The CEO of Southlake Corporation and the Diatoranian God of War, huh? You two- must be crazy,” Fritz scoffed.
The others chimed in as well.

hand and stood up.
Caspian nodded. If not for Willow, he would not have attended such a gathering in the first place.

All of a sudden, someone kicked the door open.

A burly man with a ferocious expression rushed into the dining room with a few of his subordinates.
Kelsie leaped to her feet in excitement. She hugged the man’s arm as she whined, “You’re finally here, Benny! I’ve been waiting for you!”
All this while, Bernard Underhill had been working with Lincoln. For some reason, Lincoln established a partnership with Southlake Corporation a while ago.
That did not affect Bernárd, however. In fact, even more people tried to butter him up.
Many women threw themselves at him too, and Kelsie was one of them.
Even though Kelsie was rather tacky, Bernard was still somewhat satisfied with her. She performed well in bed, so he was fond of her.
