“Are you jealous? There’s really nothing going on between us. Besides, I have a drop–dead gorgeous wife. Why would I be attracted to someone else?” Caspian chuckled.
He never thought that Willow would get jealous over this matter.
This made Caspian happy because it meant that she cared a lot about him.
“Who said I’m jealous?” Willow folded her arms across her chest and said smugly.
She would never admit it.
“Caspian, did you really disfigure Nicholas‘ face last night?” Willow asked as she suddenly recalled the incident from the night before. She could vaguely remember seeing Caspian slashing Nicholas‘ face.
“That’s right,” Caspian nodded.
“That was a pretty reckless move. The Archer family is really influential. Now that you’ve ruined his face, his family would never let it rest,” Willow said.
“He had plotted something so evil against you. Not killing him was already too gracious of me!
Caspian said in a fierce tone.
These words made Willow happy.
She had also realized that Caspian was no longer the same person he used to be.
He was now full of confidence. He had also become more firm in handling things.
However, she just couldn’t see through him. It felt like he was full of secrets.
“How’s Zoey doing?” Willow asked in a concerned tone.
She had no clue about what had occurred in the end.
“She’s fine. We had her sent to the hospital,” Caspian said.
Willow nodded. She was relieved to know that Zoey was fine.
If Zoey hadn’t appeared in time, she would’ve already been harmed.
Thinking about it now, she still harbored some resentment toward Alicia.
After all, Willow was her cousin. How could she team up with someone to deceive her?
Just thinking about it made Willow infuriated.
Caspian went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Hearing the word “comrade” got Willow’s attention. There was another one?
Could it be that this “comrade” was Macy? For such a beautiful lady to also be medically skilled, no man would be able to resist her!
Upon hearing Zoey’s words, Willow started to feel conflicted again.
It felt like she didn’t really know Caspian.
Not only was he acquainted with someone like John Anderson, but he was also surrounded by wealthy friends!
And then, out of nowhere, a random attractive lady showed up as his comrade. On top of that, he had a friend who happened to be an amazing doctor. Everyone in his circle turned out to be greater than the last!
“I’m glad that you’re fine. I’m grateful for your help last night. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t even know what would’ve happened to me,” Willow said, still a little shaken from the incident.
“We’re close friends. There’s no need to be so formal between us. If it hadn’t been for Caspian. and Macy’s timely arrival, I wouldn’t have been able to do anything,” Zoey said.
“Oh, right! Did you and Caspian …?” Zoey asked as she suddenly seemed to recall something.
“Oh, my God, don’t even ask. It was so embarrassing,” Willow said, blushing.
“I want a man too!” Zoey cried out.
She then added, “Willow, you must keep a tight leash on Caspian. He has so many beautiful women around him. I’m pretty sure at least one of them likes him.
“Especially that Sylvia. She’s always by his side. You have to be careful. If some other woman snatched him away, it’d be too late to cry over spilled milk.”
Zoey couldn’t confess to Willow that she actually had a crush on Caspian.
What Zoey said made sense. Caspian was now an outstanding man.
After breakfast, Willow went to work.

Not long after, Caspian drove to Southlake Corporation as well. He had Miranda come to his office.
Ms. Barton, how much of Southlake Corporation’s operation has Willow familiarized herself with?” Caspian asked.
“Mrs. Lynch is a natural. She had fully accustomed herself to the operations of our corporation,” Miranda replied.
She wasn’t exaggerating. During this period of time, Willow had fully adapted to the workings of Southlake Corporation.
“Since that’s the case, it’s time to assign everything to her. I’d like you to draft a contract and have her sign it. From now on, she’ll be the president of Southlake Corporation.”
Caspian had zero interest in managing the company’s matters. He couldn’t wait to have Willow become the president of the company.

An hour later, Miranda brought over two copies of the contract. She entered Willow’s office.
“Congratulations, Ms. Stewart!” Miranda said as she entered with a bright smile.
“What’s the occasion?” Willow asked, confused.
“I just got the news. The president plans to migrate overseas. He’ll no longer be involved in the management of Southlake Corporation. It’s been decided that you’ll become the next president of Southlake Corporation!” Miranda has already thought up an explanation
beforehand.
“Ms. Barton, you must be joking with me. Isn’t there a seniority ranking within the organization? There’s no way I would be the next one in line.” Willow refused to believe what she was hearing.
“It’s not a joke. I have the contract with me. Take a look at it,” Miranda said as she handed it
to Willow.
She examined the contract carefully. After she had finished going through it, she was surprised.
It was as Miranda had said. Once she signed the contract, she would be the new president of Southlake Corporation. On top of that, she would be entitled to 49% of the company’s shares!
It felt like a dream. Willow couldn’t believe it.
Southlake Corporation was a huge corporation. The thought of owning nearly half of Southlake Corporation’s shares was pretty daunting for Willow!

“You may sign the contract if you don’t have any further questions, Ms. Stewart,” Miranda
said.
“I’ve only been here for a short while, so why would it be me?” Willow asked, wanting more
clarification.
Logically speaking, Miranda should be the next in line for the position.
“The president felt that you’re the most qualified one among all the candidates. Regarding the appointment of our new president, he must’ve given it careful consideration.”
“I still have matters to attend to. Contact me once you’ve signed it.” Miranda could only make something up on the spot since she didn’t want to expose the fact that Caspian was the president.
She left Willow’s office right away after saying what she needed to.
If it wasn’t for Caspian, this position would never become Willow’s.
Willow nodded and showed Miranda out. She still felt worried.
She decided to call Caspian to inquire about this matter.
Women could be fickle–minded sometimes. This was why they still needed to rely on men.
“Hi, Willow. What’s the matter?” answered Caspian. He was in his office.
“Caspian, is it true that your friend is getting ready to migrate overseas? He actually wants me to be the president of Southlake Corporation!” Willow asked as soon as he picked up the phone.
“Isn’t that a good thing? He’s actually told me before that he acknowledges your potential. That must be why he wanted you to be the president,” Caspian said.
Willow still refused to believe this. Did she really possess such potential?
For a moment, she actually doubted herself.
At the same time, Willow felt that Caspian’s friend must’ve made this arrangement because of
Caspian.
“Willow, stop overthinking. You can just sign the contract.
“This company is something trivial to them. You don’t have to be so surprised,” Caspian urged Willow. He was worried that Willow wouldn’t accept this appointment.
“What? Southlake Corporation is trivial? How wealthy is this friend of yours?” Willow was astonished.
